watched half of the race on mute again. The amount of BS filler they kept saying during the main event was from another world.
BE QUIET, ffs. Its all fine, you dont need to talk during 100% of the race. Just give us split times, lap times,
STOP guessing whats on rider's mind or talking about THE DEDICATION HE HAS PUT IN THIS SEASON...FEELING CONFORTABLE ON THE BIKE NOW... wtf...
"What did you learn about yourself tonight".."That smile we've been looking for is back"
shut the fuck up bitch!
Did he say, “lotta racin left” in every single race last night? I know I caught it in 3 of them for sure lol.
Normally on lap 1

A sport that is as cool as ours deserves and has earned respectful representation, not the high school AV club bullshit we get. Athletes from around the world, hired by multi-billion dollar international conglomerates, risking their lives, sacrificing any sort of normal life, in front of millions of fans, deserves announcers who pronounce the word especially without a K before SP, or realize their can only be at most 100%. The whole night show bonanza is a cluster fuck, RC is, as he would say, just the tilt of iceberg.
Can we ban any announcer from Australia, New Zealand or Tasmania? I Think Duffey nearly orgasmed when Davies crossed the finish line last night.
Actually.... I listened to him the other day... he was helping to call a race not long after he retired.... wayy back then he was better... not great, but he seemed calm, honest with his opinions, and wasn't destroying words or old sayings... he's literally gotten worse over the years...
My current favorite is "everything's good..." on any replay of a crash. There were two angles of Hammaker's main event crash before the restart and we were treated to back-to-back everything's goods. I giggle every time.
RC doesn’t have to do the broadcast, he does it as a way to give back to the sport for all yall 😁😁🤣🤣
RC getting a slide job...
you're joking right? i think you are, but not sure.
He throws around the "100%" as much as we say "dude" or "like" out here in CA.
EXACTLY!
It cracks me up.
Also the, saw that coming from a mile away.
They were worse than usual, blabbering on and on about side quests and bumbling commentary, if they would just CALL THE FUCKING RACING...and screech can takes 3x as many words to ask the simplest question, then proceeds to make a long winded summary.
For fucks sake...
Oh yeah....stop fucking saying slide job RC. That's so yesterday already.
Yes that ‘‘twas a joke
But now when I think about it, RC doesn’t need to do the job for financial reasons and maybe his reason is to give back to the sport lol
Pit Row
Ricky does the broadcast to try and stay relevant. His ego won't let him go be retired gracefully. He's so bad at the broadcasting gig I feel it's tarnishing his legacy. Instead of people simply remembering him for his on track accomplishments, we now talk more about his complete lack of understanding of the English language.
I watched RC “slide job” the backstretch wall all by himself in Mark Martin’s Super Late Model at Lake City Speedway in the late 00s. I really wish he would’ve left his stock car experience and terminology at the door of the TV booth. I haven’t even seen one pass he’s called that resembles a “slide job” in auto racing.
Ha!
"...to your point", must be on the bottom.
You forgot ""Organically Arrive".
The reason I say that is
…because “Ooohhh”, “100%”, there’s a “lotta racing left” for the “must situation power move”.
Dos anyone catch the post race show?
He was trying to land the plane talking about elevation at the last two rounds and how Honda may have an advantage. It was brutal.
Nobody's "banning" anybody but I think your comment has merit insofar as broadcasters being relatable to their audience. It's just common sense. Imagine if Al Michaels or Joe Buck stepped in to announce F1 or the British Premier League.
Don't get me wrong, a "peppering" of multinationalism is a good thing but I think an intelligent domestic/native voice that the vast majority of the SX audience can relate to is lacking anytime Leigh and RC are in the booth. (no disrespect to JT$ but he is only on air for a few brief moments which isn't enough to tip the scale in the right direction)
Don't forget the "We talked about it....." and "He's plenty capable"
Always talking earlier, perhaps in qualifying practice, or just going back to last week.. just disregard any observations happening during the actual race.. watcha got JT?
In my opinion this sport, largely due to nbc is presented incorrectly.
They try to hard selling story lines and trying to make it ‘look cool’ instead of just calling the race as it unfolds.
the other flaw is dumbing it down, explaining what a start device and scoop tire is every race is nauseating. Just call the race for the avid fan, if someone hears something they don’t know about and they want to they’ll look it up. Your not gonna get anywhere catering to the lowest common denominator.
The contrast between a Malin race call and a Weege/Diffey call is the size of the Grand Canyon.
Which broadcast makes the sport look cooler MXGP or SX? For me it’s MXGP by a mile.
