Indeed, just ask Cooper Webb...

Also regarding Webb, is this one of the worst 450 SX title defences in history?

Not good, but not one of the worst ever, he’s still kinda loosely in the fight which is a lot farther than many other title defenses have made it, there’s certain ones that were worse

His 2022 title defense year was worse. He didn't get a single win, had 4 podiums, and ended up 7th in the points standings.

This year he's got 6 podiums including a win, currently sits 4th in the points standings with 4 rounds to go.

With biblical rain and shorter races, I wouldn't count him out

He's a pretty bad mud rider, i don't think a mudder helps him at all.

Not sure but I hope he stays healthy for outdoors, TGO this year will be a treat if everyone’s on the line

Check out Malcolm’s, Aaron’s results before their win. It’s not that clear that they were going to be winners.

Technically speaking, this week's triple crown is every non-winner's opportunity to get his first supercross win.

It would be awesome to see Justin Cooper on the top step...

Great points, and if it's wet it'll make visibility and passing more difficult.    Feld might even shorten the motos (sorry, *main events).

Dude rides Supercross better than a lot of you give them credit for. I’m not expecting a win but he sure as hell has held the leaders pace for many laps not just shuffled back to 12th by lap three.

Prado identifies as a them? as in a they/them?

Every race is an opportunity for a non-winner to get their first supercross win. It just feels like an easier thing to do in a three race format because you can be an event winner (Webb) or a race winner (JCoop).

I would expect Kenny to get the overall, Justin Cooper as a Dark horse.

Go Hunter!

That said triple crowns can be weird and you don’t need to win to win.

4th in points

28 points back from the lead.

4 rounds to go.

And this is the worst title defence in hustory that you can remember?? WTF..

Barcia is coming back for the Nationals.

He's been posting videos riding supercross at the practice track and was teasing racing SX (on his fb page).

I hope he gets second behind Roczen.  Take some points away from Hunter.

While I'm not saying it proves him right or anything I think his point lies in where Prado was placed at halfway in those mains?

I clicked on this thinking it was a Pala prediction because I think he has a decent chance to win there next month.  As for tomorrow, if it's a slimy mudder anything can happen.

You think Pala? Southwick seemed to be his best race last year until he crashed. I expect Prado vs the Lawrences this summer unless Tomac has a little left in the tank. I think Deegan will struggle on any track that doesn't have a lot of traction especially early in the season. I expect Sexton to be a mess like last year and to miss some races but slower than last year in the races he does make.

I'm not counting Prado out anywhere in outdoors this year.  Hopefully he makes it to Pala healthy along with everyone else.

BTW, I like your bench racing predictions that are very specific.  If you didn't notice, most people here are afraid to make predictions like that and be wrong.  The all the thin skinners will come back later after the results come in and tell you how wrong you were if it doesn't play out like this.

I would tend to agree with your prediction overall though, but I do think we'll see some Tomac and Sexton appearances up front occasionally, or at least I'm hoping so.  I also hope Deegan can be up front making the firework shows for everyone to watch.

Emig in 98 is the worst I remember. Talk about burning bright then flaming oit.

hes a world champion, he gets holeshots, wins heat races, leads mains, is hard to pass

Prado needs to go to Canada and prove himself there. If he can win the Canadian Championship, he can come back to the states and try again. Right now he’s talking up a factory ride that Freeze could be on.

Not to shit talk but damn, looked like Kawasaki Prado out there. I kinda thought he’d be better considering the conditions. Maybe he’s saving the effort for the outdoors…

Like i mentioned earlier in the thread. Prado is a bad mud rider.  By far his biggest weakness as a rider imo.
