25 secs back in heat??

He came out of turn 1 in 17th-18th on what might be the most difficult track to pass on this year…. Not a good ride, but mostly a horrible start, which is a recurring event.

Chase already sniffing around other trucks no doubt. No way he sees out his entire contract

17th off the start to 4th place (and almost getting Kenny for 3rd)

That was one hell of a ride that didn't get enough attention.

Almost getting Kenny? Let's be honest, he backed it off. I respect him for doing that, since Kenny is his friend, but he could have absolutely get 2nd yesterday if he passed Kenny early. He was definitely feeling it in the second half of the main, not what I expected after the heat race. Really good ride!

as has been said countless times in this thread...the dude is a head case. Cruising around in the heat...and then showing actual heat during the main. You literally never know what you're going to get.

His starts last night were pathetic, almost like he didn't want to start upfront which i know is a mental battle at times. As a major Chase fan i really hope the outdoors aren't a disaster.

I'm optimistic about him being really good outdoors. He doesn't seem to have the same issues getting comfortable on the bike in mx. How good will mx be with a healthy Chase, Jett, Hunter, and Deegz? LFG! I dont know WTH is going on with Eli, so I cant put him in there right now

Oh god damn it! My bad! Brain fart. Prado for sure is in that lead group. Considering how good he's looked in sx? Wooooh boy, he's going to be a problem. Way off topic but I had the thought yesterday, how good would Prado be in sx if he had come over here at 18? How fast he's picked on sx without even riding a 250 indoors is wild

Absolutely? I don’t think so. The mistakes arise when he pushes.

Look at the stats and I think you will have a different perspective. Lap 14-22 CS had faster lap times, and miraculously had his slowest lap of the race on lap 24.

Deegz currently has 37 250 sx starts on a 250. Prado has 16 in the premier class and he's this good already. So impressive

The bikes not slow revving.  I think some of the issues is with start mapping.  Kawi is obviously thinking its better to have a good track map than start map.  the problem is with starts.  They gotta do work on getting the bike off the line.  And it has to do with mapping and clutch release point and delivery.  Have you ever heard of Team Kawi putting much emphasis into starts? Nope.  They need to start…getting starts

You do know they have dual maps in the bike? One is separate for start only 🤦

Ask Jeremy Martin about start maps.  He said they put some special start map in his bike before Millville last year.  He holeshot and won that second moto.   Chase says the problem is starts.  The problem is starts.

If he can't figure out how to be at least 4-8 off the start consistently.  Outdoors won't be much better.  This has to be the absolutely worst "starting position" season of any factory rider ever.  He is place 15-22 pretty much every single start.

Yes, I think his avg start position is 15.8 …. I need to do the math when I get home.  It’s crazy how bad he’s been.

If memory serves, CR22 said that the KX was a very difficult bike to get a start on when he was under the factory tent. Can’t recall why. Obviously we are 5 or 6 versions removed from that era of KX450, but perhaps it’s something with how the team likes to set up their bikes?

Well.. there was a rider named Tomac years ago. I remember him being one of the worst startes out of all the factory riders on a green bike. Went to Star in 2022 and suddently he was the best average starter that year in both SX and outdoors.

Prado made it work though.. As bad as his season was yesterday, he had great starts at least

Prado just happens to be one of the best starters ever.

Lol.  He wasn't back 1/4 of the pack bad.  And he won 4 450 titles on that green bike.  Double the total 450 championships he won on any other brand so far.

The way he was launched in practice and his reaction to that, I'd say he's just frustrated right now and doesn't really trust the bike

When he went into that corner standing up & carrying that much lean angle, I said no way he maintains that, sure enough… got ejected. So gnarly to even try & hit the corner like that.
