Personally I believe he will get on better with Kawi than the ktm. Eli is going to be on the struggle bus, Hunter has stepped up his game. Maybe not direct speed(I believe he has though) and overall package of starts and consistency. Chase didn’t get consistent starts on the pumpkin. Time will tell and that’s what makes it all fun

No, but I don't think Chase will exceed his total on ANY bike. Jett has always been in Chase's head, and now you can add Hunta to that list. When Chase signed with KTM, he said something to the effect of "I couldn't beat him when we were on same equipment (Honda), so I needed a change and we will see who can set their bike up better and go mono e mono". Chase believes in himself so much that anything less than a win will result in him blaming the bike, which will subconsciously give him a built in excuse for not running with the Lawrence boys. He will be searching for that last little 1% with the bike, when the fact is that last 1% resides in him. I think its very similar to RV and Dungey, RV had his number by a very small increment, and had to ride nearly perfect to win and more often than not, did. That's why Chase and Dungey have similar trajectories, when its man against man, they both were close, but lost more than won. Then, when RV or Jett go out, they both seem to rise to the occasion. I do believe that Dungey was much stronger mentally than Chase is and I think it will become more clear in the next few years. I really think Chase is going to have a downward spiral going forward trying to ride over his head. Many of you remember "Angry Dunge" when Dungey tried throwing caution to the wind for a few races trying to beat RV. I think that's where Dungey's mental toughness came through and he just put his head down and kept improving, Chase doesn't have that same dog in him and I also don't think Jett will suddenly retire like RV did.

Hunter in Chase's head lol. Why would he even regard a guy hes beaten over and over. Just like you want to say Chase only wins...

I believe Hunter will beat Chase, more than Chase beats Hunter in 2026. It'll be interesting to revisit this in May after SX & again in September.

I think Chase will do fine adjusting to the bike. Regardless of all the Kawi speculation, it’s still factory Kawi. He’ll be 3-5 in SX/MX if he doesn’t get too tight (best case scenario).

If he does, it will really surprise me. The Kawi's are notoriously 'rear steer' bikes. I think Chase rides with a big emphasis on the front end. He looked really good in the turns on the KTM. Way fewer washouts than on the Honda. Maybe I'm totally off the mark and he dominates on the green meanie? Time will tell, I suppose. It's a big risk for both Chase and Kawasaki.

Which make stands to gain or lose the most in the swap of riders? KTM really gets a free kick with Prado. IMO. After his debacle of a season this year, if he stinks the place up, it's all on him. If he wins, Kawi looks the turd. KTM has the upper hand from a marketing standpoint. Again, jmo.

He looked pretty good on the Honda too, Chase will be fast no matter what bike or team he is on.

In my opinion he will be fast but not win as much as the Lawrence brothers, which would of been the same outcome if he was on a KTM

Regarding the original question; no I don’t think he will.

Chase, mentally, does not have it. Yes he’s won some titles but I firmly believe he did that off sheer speed and not race craft. You can’t rely on sheer speed because that means you’re pushing it, hard, an entire moto. Relying off race craft just doesn’t seem to be an option with him either.

And I think we’ve seen what pushing it does to Chase…time and time again. On his day, he can be the FMOP. But those days seem to be where he just doesn’t fuck it all up.

I really like the guy. But it’s been a few years of the same shit and I don’t know why that’d change on another new bike. I hope he proves me wrong but since I don’t have a crystal ball, I’ll rely on past observations to make my assumptions.

He’ll only have another 2 years before he starts all over again on a different manufacturer.

According to a contract that historically hasn't been written in blood... Time will tell, obviously.
