Why would Mitch stay with Kawasaki? Or better question why would he leave? If they still finance the 250cc program with big green bills then I would stay with the green bikes! But if they are cutting in the budgets then I would leave to! I mean if they are thinking they would have the same results without them they need to try it out!
The brands he can choice ... KTM - Yamaha - TM or maybe a Grand Prix team??
Not that Mitch has something to prove but if he really wanna shake the MX World he need to take the TM! That is a amazing bike but no American team had the courage to ride with it and win championships with it...
Otherwise is KTM not a bad choice but that bike isn't a unproven bike. That bike got world championships under his belt and after a year or two with De Coster it will probably have a AMA championship under his belt too. But a team with De Coster and Mitch that sounds like domination and humiliation for the competition.
Yamaha his last 250cc title is from the Troy Yamaha days. So I think they are looking for a good program to. They are competitive in the 450cc but in the 250cc they are almost invisible so I think if they would have the chance and the budget... Why not? And then can Mitch prove that he can make from every bike and team a champions team!
Last option is maybe leading CLS or an other GP team himself. He won everything in the 250cc class in the US so why not try win everything in Europe. It would be nice to have a character as him here in Europe.
TMs are not homologated for pro competition here.
I'm jus' sayin'...
Check out the valve train on a KTM and you will see what he was talking about.
True Story!!!!!!!!!!
Especially for the average moto enthusiast. Factory Connection and others understand WP and do a good job at making things handle well.

Lets fire Mike Fisher!
I'd love to see PC go to KTM.
Is it near Rumour Road and Bullshit Boulevard???
KTM has a lot of different bikes (2 and 4 stroke) to sell parts for that have no particular affiliation w/ any aftermarket brand here in the US and the riders of KTMs tend to be more affluent and able to spend more $. In my market it's clear that KTM sells many bikes, is a large player, and the momentum is certainly going towards them.
This should be a great fit and would bode well for PC and KTM.
As far as WP suspension goes it took me a while to get mine dialed in. FC completely wrecked it, I mean really bad. But MX-tech got it right after 2 times. It's golden now. Best I've ever ridden actually and many say the same after riding my bike.
Also on the quality of KTM's vs. other bikes. I've been wrenching on all of them since I was a kid and a KTM makes any Jap bike look like one of the those $199 Chinese pocket bikes they sell at AutoZone. The quality of the KTM product far surpasses the Japanese products regardless of what you may think about the set up of them.
