It makes perfect sence. KTM may be the only manufacturer who hasn'r red figures in their balance. Mitch is a winner and winners usually like to work with the leading brand...

First of all I dont see Mitch parting with Kawasaki. Mike Fisher would get fired before Kawasaki and Pro Circuit part ways.

IF there was another brand that Pro circuit decided on, it would be Honda. KTM doesn't sell even a fraction of what the Japs sell, and Mitch is in the business of selling PARTS.
Parts that factory Kawi wont even run?

I could honestly see them going too Suzuki, Yamaha, or Honda before they go to KTM.

I think it would be pretty cool to see them on Suzuki's.

Monster Energy (or would it be rockstar if they switched to zooks?) Pro Curcuit/ Suzuki.

Not gonna happen. That deals done & Yoshimura runs it.

Oh yeah, good point, i completely forgot about Yoshimura.

Still would be cool to see though.

or PC Yamaha's, with Monster as the sponsor, they already sponsor Yamaha's in the GPs.

Wouldn't surprise me KTM are coming in a big way to the USA.... they would love to provide mitch the bikes for his team. It would help him too because two of the best kids in the world are Musquin and Roczen who are with KTM...you can bet Mitch wished they were on his team this year... add in the link with Decoster and the GP teams it would be a good move for both parties.
Why? His team just went 1,2,3 and the two you mentions got 7th and DNS.

Why would Mitch go back to Honda? A brand that ditch him? A brand that didn't need him anymore!? But when he was gone came to the conclusion they didn't won anymore till a few years ago...

Why would Mitch stay with Kawasaki? Or better question why would he leave? If they still finance the 250cc program with big green bills then I would stay with the green bikes! But if they are cutting in the budgets then I would leave to! I mean if they are thinking they would have the same results without them they need to try it out!

The brands he can choice ... KTM - Yamaha - TM or maybe a Grand Prix team??
Not that Mitch has something to prove but if he really wanna shake the MX World he need to take the TM! That is a amazing bike but no American team had the courage to ride with it and win championships with it...

Otherwise is KTM not a bad choice but that bike isn't a unproven bike. That bike got world championships under his belt and after a year or two with De Coster it will probably have a AMA championship under his belt too. But a team with De Coster and Mitch that sounds like domination and humiliation for the competition.

Yamaha his last 250cc title is from the Troy Yamaha days. So I think they are looking for a good program to. They are competitive in the 450cc but in the 250cc they are almost invisible so I think if they would have the chance and the budget... Why not? And then can Mitch prove that he can make from every bike and team a champions team!

Last option is maybe leading CLS or an other GP team himself. He won everything in the 250cc class in the US so why not try win everything in Europe. It would be nice to have a character as him here in Europe.Smile

TMs are not homologated for pro competition here.

I was told this same thing earlier this week and didnt say anything because I didnt want to have evrybody calling me crazy but its what I was told by an insider. After he told me this he went on to tell me how the KTMs have some things in the motor that are of a much better design then the jap bikes.
Check out the valve train on a KTM and you will see what he was talking about.

Maybe Fisher should go back to testing Mules. Royally pissing off your company's best partner is a bad, bad move.

Kawi would be stupid to let that happen. They would be better off letting Mitch run the whole thing like Yoshimura does for Suzuki. Can you see RV and CP on Pro Circuit 450's with a whole group of 250's under a second truck, all run by Mitch.

That's nonsense.

Especially for the average moto enthusiast. Factory Connection and others understand WP and do a good job at making things handle well.

Everyone that thinks PC will get the Honda program, are you forgetting the GEICO team? They have been great foot soldiers for Honda for a long time, I doubt Honda is just going to boot them out the door even for PC. TLD is also a nice team to have flying the Honda flag. Suzuki and Yamaha would make more sense, and KTM would make the most sense for several reasons.

Its pretty much like having two PC teams.

Its a hell of a move for Honda.
They'd be dumb to let em go somewhere else.
Yamha would make the most sense since they don't really have that good of a 250 team, honda has TLD and GEICO, Suzuki has rockstar suzuki, i can't see PC going to KTM either it wouldn't make much sense at all, but honda definantly dosen't need another 250 team if they had one they would have half of the 250 class that would be kinda sick though.

I think Mitch/PC should run the entire Kawasaki race team. 250 and 450's.

Sounds like Mitch could make some money on KTM suspension revalves ! One more reason for a team !

Mitch does this gig for an opportunity to sell parts and motor kits and KTM would offer the best opportunity to do this. TM would be a retarded choice for obvious reasons, no opportunity to sell parts!

KTM has a lot of different bikes (2 and 4 stroke) to sell parts for that have no particular affiliation w/ any aftermarket brand here in the US and the riders of KTMs tend to be more affluent and able to spend more $. In my market it's clear that KTM sells many bikes, is a large player, and the momentum is certainly going towards them.

This should be a great fit and would bode well for PC and KTM.

As far as WP suspension goes it took me a while to get mine dialed in. FC completely wrecked it, I mean really bad. But MX-tech got it right after 2 times. It's golden now. Best I've ever ridden actually and many say the same after riding my bike.
Also on the quality of KTM's vs. other bikes. I've been wrenching on all of them since I was a kid and a KTM makes any Jap bike look like one of the those $199 Chinese pocket bikes they sell at AutoZone. The quality of the KTM product far surpasses the Japanese products regardless of what you may think about the set up of them.

I see Mitch staying on Kawi's and having a full team with riders in both classes so that he can beat factory kawi i.e. Mike Fisher.....straight up with PC equipment. Can't see that making the big guys in Japan being too happy about the factory team being beat by a satelite team... And if they were to go to another brand, it would have to be either Yamaha or Honda because they don't have conflicting energy drink sponsors..
