Even though I'm over 40 now, I'm getting back in to mx, I just can't help it. I picked up an '11 ktm 250 sx a few weeks ago, but I'm too sick to ride this weekend. I have set the sag, checked the spokes, and I am about to grease the wheel bearings and steering stem bearings. What else...

Why would the AMA care if they weren't 350's ? As long as they aren't more than 450 cc's they are legal for the 450 class. If KTM bored it out to a 400 but still called it a 350 (which they did not do), does that have anything to do with the AMA ?

I remember reading an interview with RC towards the end of his career where he said that like the road race guys, he could could only ride as fast as his front brake would allow him to. He said Goose would carry different bends of brake levers with him, and he might switch after the sight lap if he didn't...
Just because someone is arguing for 2-strokes doesn't mean they are arguing against 4-strokes. I wish a lot of the 4 stroke guys would realize this. Cheaper entry level race bikes (125's) could put more people in the sport. More people = more money in the sport =more bikes sold(2 and 4 stroke) = more tracks = better conditions for...

Actually, the 2 stoke ktm's come with a red, yellow and green powerband ( different colored powervalve springs that allow the valve to open earlier or later ). So as much as we laugh about it, it's actually true for the KTM's . I'm running the yellow "powerband" now !

Aaaah ! Now I am remembering some of the stuff I forgot, like the chain adjuster bolts. nytsmaC, I shouldn't need to rig the carb, I'm getting arm pump so bad I'll probably ghost it somewhere ! Thanks to everybody else for the good advice !
