Did anyone else notice that if you race any AMA race, you’re agreeing to possibly having your bike claimed? So, your sweet 07 RM250 could be claimed for $750. And if you refuse, your banned from AMA racing for a year.

Band?
Voice to text lol, fixed
It worked out well for my buddy, John Rodier.
Worked real well for Brennan Schofield.
The Shop

Free shipping: VITALMX
dont worry, Brian will come and sit with the person and make it go away
Clutch move by the general.
It also says vintage bikes are excluded, is 07 vintage now??
It says 50% over Manufacturers Suggested Retail Price (MSRP), which for that 07 RM, would total out around $9200-ish
I love my 24' 300XC but id be thrilled if someone at a local race wanted to give me $15,000 for it.
No kidding. The rules also state the claimant is to remain anonymous.
MSRP using KBB, not retail value
rule has been around for 30 years
Might need to be updated
That part of the rule was made after the Schofield debacle
The screenshot above listed suggested retail (MSRP) which would still be MSRP either way
Yeah but you can just tell the AMA to bring the guy into the room with you so you can intimidate him. If that doesn't work, just call Yamaha and they'll shake him down til he gives up. And afterwards, if the story gets out they'll call in Steve Matthes to make sure everyone blames the guy who followed the rules.
Yeah, but in his post his quoting the around $500 KBB retail value not KBB MSRP
Yep. Also, no longer will a minor and his engine builder be able to stroll in and claim a competitor's bike without a parent's knowledge and participation.
Pit Row
What is Schofield up to these days? Working at a Ralph’s?
Time for the claiming rule to go away entirely.
I think we're on the same page and I misread your first reply lol
According to his Instagram he owns a cabinet company, excavation company, and a construction company.
Lol.... the last time someone tried to claim a bike, they got strong armed by the cringe lord, plus the actual AMA... ain't nobody gonna claim a bike now days... #amarulesarebullchit
You lack reading comprehension
That JDPower price is insane. I can't imagine anybody would sell an operational 2007 RM250 for less than $1,500.
You’re grasping straws, Brian.
MSRP was $6099 and add 50% would put it at $9100 to claim.
They go off of MSRP not used retail. Damn how do you find your way to work everyday.
hah, if he's been lurking vital since 09' that's impressive.
I personally do not like the idea of being able to pluck someone's bike.
Alright then, DQ me and I'll take my racing dollars to an outlaw series until next year. I ain't selling my private property to anyone until I am good and ready.
Man of many talents
