Not as good as other aluminum frame bikes, and second, Coenen is same good as Herlings in the sand, and may be became faster ,remember gp from 25,when Jeffrey had hard time to save p1 and win gp. Obviously Lucas have been faster all weekend

Herlings was coming off an injury.

From last season's EMX125 top ten, the first eight move to EMX250: Nicolò Alvisi, Mano Faure, Filippo Mantovani, Niccolò Mannini, Dani Heitink, Jēkabs Kubuliņš, Francesco Bellei and Jarne Bervoets. With them also Áron Katona – who was leading the championship for a while until his injury –, Douwe Van Mechgelen, Cole McCullough, Vencislav Toshev, César Paine Díaz, Ian Ampoorter, Dean Gregoire, Andrea Roberti, Michael Conte, Félix Cardineau and Jayson van Drunen make the same move. Out of the 2025 EMX125 top twenty fifteen riders move to EMX250, that's insane.

Francisco García, Liam Owens, Gyan Doensen, Nicolai Skovbjerg, Jake Cannon, Mads Fredsøe, Lyonel Reichl, Adrià Monné, Simone Mancini, August Frisk, William Askew, Alexis Fueri, Maximilian Ernecker, Elias Escandell,.... stay in EMX250 for another season.

So, you guys say who's going to take the championship. Your guesses are as good as any😀

If he stays injury free, Garcia will destroy that field.

Well that's bloody Fantastic - McLellans 1st GP win  is Triumphs 1st modern era GP win!

And, he did it by passing Little Coenen.

Wonderful stuff!

Herlings & Watson tagged bars on the start straight.

Looks like that Honda is a dog in the sand. I’m sure I heard Herlings say the Honda was better on the hard pack than the KTM.

Gregoire is 15 years old and made a huge step this winter. Great if you are fast in 125’s but in EMX250 it really matters to be able to get picked up by the factory. Gregoire has the talent and showed the hart and commitment needed in the off-season.

Herlings is 31 and far from what he used to be. Prime JH in sand was pretty untouchable

To be fair, you don't have to be a Herlings fanboy to understand that he has been the most exceptional sand rider of his generation, possibly ever. Getting beat aged 31 to a 19 year old on this occasion does nothing to change that.

He fall down hard (he was 3rd, then DNF'ed). Nothing broken, apparently.

Just back on the bike after surgery and straight into a full weekend off MXGP Racing. Bad starts all weekend and even a crash on Saturday didnt help.

Gotta give him props for going straight racing with the big boys. Give him a bit more time and pain free riding and he will be up there.

Looked like some sort off concussion after going faceplant into the sand.

Hopefully he will be Allright and back to fire in Swiss! We cant loose him this early, he has been riding good!

Yeah i think this is a keeper, good crowd and nice track.

Now just make it a combi with Portugal GP and imo its a good way to start the season in Europe.

Did anyone else see the crash early in emx125 moto one when the guy goes over the bars then just takes his helmet off like it’s a ball cap while still on the track?

Herlings fan here, Lucas was faster today fair and square. He also rides very good in the sand and is in really good shape too, I think Jeffrey was doing good today and he didn't take any risk for getting injured again. He was really lucky on saturday and I can imagine that he was still feeling the effects of that in his 31 years old body.

I hope they all stay healthy and we will see great battles troughout the whole year with a lot of different gp winners. I was glad to see Febvre walking away from the track.

After a 5 hours of car driving, im at home now.

Gp was good, good Racing, good track and good amostphere Only dissapointed with organization.

1.5 hours waiting to enter on saturday even i bought online tickets, parking cost 10€ ( first GP that i went that you have to pay) and entry and out wasnt fast. Madrid had better organization in term of logistisc.

Mx2 races was intense. The pace was so high.

What a shame for Farres having that problem on gearbox, could be an amazing day for him.

CM8 was fast all weekend long. He deserves that win and Triumph too. Congrats.

Coenen was on another level this weekend, you could notice it watching floating around the bumps.

Nasty Crash for Febvre, Hope he is ok. Factory kawis sound louder than others bikes, i dont know if the riders or team is searching HP.
