tomac was fastest in qualifying and it didn't matter one bit. hunter came in and just controlled that main from start to finish, two seconds clear of roczen at the checkered flag. that gap between first and second was nothing compared to the canyon between second and third though — roczen to tomac was like 33 seconds. the top two were on a completley different level than everyone else tonight.
cooper webb in sixth is just depressing at this point. prado in seventh is even wierder to me because that dude has the speed, you can see it in his best lap time which was faster than tomac's, but he can't put a full race together in supercross yet. it's like watching someone who knows all the notes but can't play the song.
plessinger's race was clearly cut short, looks like he only did about half the laps before something happened. no idea if it was mechanical or a crash but that's tough either way.
mStewart quietly in fifth again, just steady every single week. does anyone think tomac can actually close this gap on hunter or is the championship basicaly wrapped up already?
Wrapped up already ? No… definitely not
Hunter and Eli are just one bad incident from throwing it all away.
Tomac is 9 points down, has won 4 races this year and you’re asking if Hunter has this title wrapped up? 🤔
Malcolm Stewart “in fifth again, just steady every single week” is false as well. That’s his first top 5 main event finish this season. His results are literally all over the map this season. The absolute complete opposite of “steady.”
Prado is exceeding almost everyone’s expectations. Plessinger crashed hard, and it was discussed so clearly you weren’t paying much attention tonight. Actually, given how insanely backwards almost everything you’ve said is, I’m gonna assume paying attention isn’t your strong point.
^^^^^^^^ ahhahahhahahhahahha...🤣

What were you diagnosed with when you were younger?
I am being more disillusioned with Prado. I don’t believe he is a top 5 rider. Especially with Jett, Deegan coming in next year. Prado going to need a few older guys to hang up their leathers to be consistent top five guy.
Hunter hasn't had a bad race yet. Elie might need him too. But either way, this isn't over. Hunter is definitely the real deal though. He's figured it out and bike must be working well. It's going to be tough for Eli to get the lead back.
Great ride by Kenny too. He closed the gap so fast until Hunter woke up and kept it steady. The more he wins the more dangerous he's getting it seems. Tomac isn't quite out of this yet but he will be if this happens a couple more times
Disappointing race for Eli fans.
Hunter keeps holeshotting races and Eli has those occasional off nights, while Hunter remains almost perfect. i think Lawrence wins this title easiy. RC saw it coming after Daytona.
The Lawrence bothers ride smart. Get a small lead 2-3 second lead and cruise to the finish not taking any unnecessary risks.
The championship is far from over. Don't we also have more venues left that could result in potential mudders?
Agreed in Supercross, but he's easily a top 5 rider in outdoors, if not winning races and frequent podiums.
That was an amazing ride by Hunter and Kenny. Its not often that any body puts 30+ seconds on Tomac when he finishes 3rd while starting up there and not crashing or having issues.. If there were 2 more laps and everybody stayed at the same pace they could have lapped into the top 5. That was an amazing ride by both Kenny and Hunter. Kenny coming through the pack like that was amazing too.
Reminds me of some RC and Stewart races .
Its funny I looked at the lap chart for the 450 main . And the stat that shows how many times each rider passed or got passed. And Vince Friese was the only rider in the 450 main to not pass anybody or get passed by anybody. Started 13th and finished 13th. Every other racer either moved up or down from the spot they came around the first turn in.
The Championship is far from over but Hunter is doing everything to put himself on top. Did you notice how he was on it in the first corners, steady, determine, pushed to get up front quickly.
hunters now got the most consistent starts, opening lap(s) aggression, and ability to finish....unless he has some big get off or mechanical issue its over. Tomac will chip into the points with another win or two but hunter will finish 2nd behind him and then tomac will have an off race where he starts 10th or gets beat by 30seconds. the consistency from hunter has this thing all but over. And that sucks, I really wanted the ET3 to have a redemption tour this year after the achilles and leg accidents.
I didn't watch the race but followed along here a bit and saw Tomac had to go to pits to get his airbox fixed? Results showed him completing 1 less lap I think but still finished 3rd if I'm reading correctly. In that case 3rd overall was a helluva accomplishment to podium instead of DNF. Those of you thinking he is 1 bad race from being out of it are not seeing the difference from past years when had multiple races with no points finishes or DNFs that left insurmountable points gaps to make up to win the championship but still comes close. 9 points isn't out of it yet with so many races left and it remains to be seen if Hunter has any DNFs or a couple off races or crashes that might bring him back closer where Eli has possibility to snatch the lead.
the airbox situation was in the heat race when he collided with j coop , Eli had to go thru the lcq , the 3rd was in the main event , excellent start considering his gate pack & was up there early but hunta & Kenny had more pace than him in the main
thanks for correcting 👍

Fastest Brothers in the world
it’s still got a long way to go, but I love the confidence and urgency to get to the front in the first half a lap, shows you mentally where Hunter thinks he belongs. I do think he’s got to take advantage of the opportunity to close this one, the sun is setting on most of his competition this year (they are still badasses, but not every week with the exception of Eli). With little brother and Deegs on the gate, it won’t be easier next year
hlaw has the momentum now, it's obvious. and malcolm getting back to form running where he should have been all year if not for the crash. looks steady to me! paying attention is difficult for me though, that part is true.
Cleveland or Philly could be full blown snow storms and it would not be the least bit out of character.
I wander if something was off with Eli's setup last night. Hunter was definitely the man last night but to drop Eli by 20+ seconds when they were less than 1 second apart after the first lap is not something to ignore. Without a doubt his best race of the year and possibly his SX career
Eli Tomac: “I just wasn’t as good tonight as the front two, so that’s about it. Of course, the LCQ was very stressful and a high-pressure moment, but I got myself out there to a good start from the inside gate, and I just got beat tonight. I was a little bit off and it was one of those nights that was tough, so we’ll try to regroup for next weekend and see if we can get back up front.”
When you start depending on the leaders to have an unfortunate event, you really aren’t competing for the championship anymore. Like Chase’s SX championship, you just position yourself the best you can, and if bad things happen you benefit. I think Ken is doing that. Webb is trying but his unassisted crash makes the wall higher. But it’s not just one rider far ahead - it’s Eli too.
Hunter's hitting his stride and Kenny was unreal at his age / stage in his career. Weege and James in the booth. Fun time to be watching Supercross!
don't know that anyone is really counting on leaders to have an unfortunate event, but law of averages makes it rare to have many perfect seasons with no mechanical failures or other racing events negatively affecting a rider's season finish. LAPPERS dammit! 😅
Marquez brothers are probably the fastest when it comes to actual speed lol
If Hunter stays healthy- I think he wins this pulling away. Looks like a different rider after having won a couple SX races- light and aggressive on the bike, faster in the corners..
I'm a big Lawrence Bros. fan but there is no guaranteeing that Hunter won't have a bad day in the next 7 races. Or Eli. Kenny or Coop could find himself back near the top if either one has that bad day. I hope they both stay healthy until the end. It's been a great season so far.
