It looks like the Honda will be new next year based on MXGP bikes. It sounds like Kawasaki will have a new 450 in 2027 as well. Based on past history the Austrian bikes will follow their FE bike so maybe new suspension in 27 for them.
Any other news that you guys are hearing or seeing?
I keep hearing on the podcasts that the KTM will be all new for 2027.
What podcast are you hearing that on?
If big lew is correct and we see factory Suzuki back in mxgp for 2027 we might at least see a new bike. But prob a 2028.
That's what I am thinking as well. Was hoping for a new Zuke in 27 but not looking good.

If KTM is ready to release a new bike and hold true to form (with Bajaj maybe not?) then the 2027s will be orange framed 2026 models, with the new bike being the ""2027.5" Factory Edition.
heard KTM/husky will be a new model
Honda will be new model
Kawi will probably be be a big update to the motors and keep same chassis. So like a massive update versus all new.
Yellow Magic - Lewis said someone told him that US comes before MXGP so it's possible that means we see a new 450 by Suzuki in 27, but not holding my breath.
Anyone know if Beta is going to make any major changes this year? I know they have made updates each year but the 24-26 has been basically the same platform. Figure a 2.0 platform has to be coming soon-ish right?
I am so excited to see what gets dropped. Bought a new bike last year and have held off so far this year, I might as well wait until the 27s are out.
It would be really funny if we got a new Suzuki before the Kawi 2stroke comes out.
From what I know/hear. Ktm will be new in 2028 (probably 27.5 FE).
Kawi 450 new in 27.
Honda new in 27.
Suzuki new in 27.
Kawi will be pushed another year…I don’t know for certain but that’s what I heard.
Wouldn’t it be awesome to introduce the new Suzuki as a 2027.5 factory edition so Kenny could race it in ‘27 Supercross?
I don't think Kenny wants to race a different bike.
If Suzuki did electric start, KYB Suspension, and some small power tweaks we would be good to go. I agree that an all new platform would be tough for Roczen to start over on.
I think the only thing I feel sure of these days is that next year I'll hear about a new Suzuki coming out the year after that...
No manufacturer has ever released a .5 model anything. Always, 'Factory Edition'. No further embellishment required.
All these down votes mean they know, accept and feel stupid for calling it a .5. I guess they say Husk-a-varna too.
People also said it would be tough for Tomac to start over on an Austrian bike, and it was a backwards step for Roczen going from Honda to Suzuki.
Would any 450 currently not meeting the new sound requirement, be updated for the showroom in '27? That may be a driving factor on if Suzuki were to also get their bike updated. And I'm assuming part of what will be part of the new package with the Honda. Not sure on the others, but Yam and Kaw I think are currently good. A new KTM will be interesting, given the company's circumstances. It seemed like the Bajaj people were wanting to slow the update cycle down a bit, so maybe this one will debut and run a longer life than generations in the past.
Suzuki RM250C2 the 1978.5 model.
Big mid year upgrade. Great bike.
Not official. Never, a .5 anything released in Motocross. Simply 'Factory Edition'. No one ever calls the CRf, KX or even the RMz, '.5' Why only KTM models get called this, when KTM themselves never refer to it as .5?
Pit Row
We know what hill you are choosing to die on. Shame it's a pitchers mound at sea level instead of the Himilayas, but you do you!
No one calls any of the other Factory or Works Edition bikes a "half" as they are released at the exact same time as the regular production models. The Austrians get labeled as such due to their mid season release approximately 6 months (hey, that's a half year!) offset from the regular production models.
Yamaha had a YZ125X in 76'.
Lot's of half year models in the 70's when updates were coming out rapidly. Plenty of half year models back then that were replaced in the new model year.
1974.5 Maico GP models

Suzuki RM125M/S

“In late 2011, KTM shocked the motocross industry by signing 2011 Supercross Champion Ryan Dungey to join the Red Bull KTM team, and a few months later dropped another bomb on the motocross world by announcing the 2012.5 450 SX-F Ryan Dungey Edition. Now known more commonly as the Factory Edition 450 SX-F, the first special machine varied greatly from the standard 2012 450 SX-F and was debuted as a 2012.5 so that Dungey could race it in the 2012 Monster Energy Supercross Championship. To meet the AMA’s homologation rules, KTM had to produce 400 of the exciting new machines and they did just that.”
Everyone calls it a .5 model because when it’s released during the calendar year.
Triumph might be getting some updates 2027 I'm betting, the GP bikes for this year are a bit different from what I remember. Different swingarm, I think someone mentioned different engine mounts, an some shock stuff.
I remember Keefer mentioning that the 27 Yamaha 450 will be getting changes so consider how people at the top seem to not be a big fan of it. I could be thinking of last year though.
Broc Tickle confirmed a new KX450 for ‘27 in an interview last week. He didn’t say if it was all-new or just heavily updated.
I would like to see suzuki with improved suspension and back with the aluminum gas tank. I don't really need electric start. Kenny is making that thing look good and we can all assume he's not on stock suspension
Both the Vital review show from Lewis and PulpMX as well
The real question is will the new Suzuki 450 be released before the KX300?
Yup, had one and wish I still had it. I love the ALWAYS and NEVER statements.
