I like Adam, but he seems to have altered his way of speaking that feels unnatural, rehearsed and tv tailored. In contrast to Braydon’s delivery that sounds like a normal delivery a person would speak to you normally. I’d think just talk to us like a regular guy instead of some exaggerated broadcast presenter?
Agreed. I noticed the same. His speech sounded like he was being interviewed by his prom dates dad. Seems like now tho he has relaxed and is starting to talk naturally again.
I was in the garage working/listening and could not identify the voice. Then Brayton spoke and I put it together. Still believe he should go into politics—he’s a natural and pretty versed on a lot of topics outside of SX/MX.
He’s not a narcissistic piece of shit though, which is required for political office.
He is a little stiff but I still love his input.

They all have coaches who are giving feedback on everything they do. AC is also a guy who is always trying to improve and get better. I’m confident he’ll be fine.
If I'm not mistaken, he's actually brought up on his pod with JB that he's been working on this specifically. He knows it sounds a little too rehearsed right now, and that he's gotta loosen up.
He said himself that sometimes he feels like he speaks as though he's trying to sell something to the viewers, so he's aware of his tendencies. Regardless, for a former rider I think he's pretty damn good. Doesn't get stuck in a thought or constantly rephrase the end of his statements like some other analysts.
Ya just too much story telling every single weekend, just watch practice
I think it's just his personality, he's the same way on his pod. He sais time and time again too much but the way he can articulate what's going on in a professional manner is perhaps the best. Perhaps y'all like it dumbed down like ricky and when asked how he made the pass you just want to hear he went up the inside and got it done. I like the technicality of things broken down. Keep up the good work AC.
It feels like he prepared for talking points (like using the “DEFCON 5” reference twice - but wrong) - and kept on script rather than naturally explaining the urgency Cooper and Kenny need to have to stay relevant in the championship.
Atleast AC is not quoting rehearsed poems or famous quotes like our mohawked on track analyst
I wonder how many broadcast coaches are like movie critics? The finer points that get them excited are totally lost on most viewers and focusing too much on those sacrifices the stuff that draws the average fan in but is considered beneath the experts.
They take a guy that everyone loves in their natural state and then the critic tries to mold that into a thing that the critics like instead.
Agree, he is not a narcissist.
I also believe that there a handful of good people in public service. I try not to paint everyone with a broad brush. I also understand some folks would rather sit back and bitch about all the public servants being “pieces of shit”, rather than stepping up and trying to break the glass. 🤷♂️
I blame Bondo for all of this lol, just let these guys keep it casual with no forced story lines or drama. Let them call the race and RDL like we are listening to a podcast
AC is articulate, well-spoken, and always looking to improve. What's not to like?
Like we were just sittin' in the garage, drinking beer, watching the race together.
I’ve said this before, can’t agree more good sir 🫡
Maybe they’re coaching him up so he can replace RC
Pit Row
I thought this was the best AC ever.
In general i have thought he talks too much so tonights RDL was pretty good. Brayton seemed better too, more relaxed and professional. Maybe it was Weege being at the race that brought out the better of them both?
I haven't heard AC recently but his natural diction takes a slightly urban flavor at times and he probably feels self conscious about it or nbc is leaning on him. Either way, nbc should know that authenticity is more important and no one wants another stifled commentator
Apparently, he's having a coming out party ..
I literally spit out my coffee reading that one. Thanks for the laugh!
You’re welcome!
Opinions are like—-well, you know, Dad.
He sounds like a sportscenter broadcaster
To me, seems AC was better when he started out as he seemed a bit more natural than now. Hasn't ever seemed truly comfortable.
NBC have the same coach for him as RC and not working for either one?
No doubt, not an easy job and I'd suck big time if I tried.
What I could do without is the bro talk. And it seems like this started around 1990 when Fox took over NFL from CBS. The Fox studio show became unwatchable as there was always some contrived beef or giving each other a scripted hard time for something.
When RC first started doing color for the SX broadcast this was REALLY bad. Fake bro talk, giving eachother a hard time. Wasn't it him and Emig at the time? It was so cringey. So when AC and Brayton start talking about their golf games I just go oh geez, please dont.
And please for the love of God do not dress Justin and Adam in matching outfits with white shoes. That was bizzare.
Like I said in an earlier post, i thought this was their best ever RDL. It seemed more relaxed an natural. I credit Weege just being part of the RDL team.
Bingo. In fairness every commentator comes in with prepared talking points.
