Damn. I didn't know it was so bad at KTM that the only person Chase would talk to is his mechanic. Seems a bit childish especially when the impression i get of Ian Harrison is that he is pretty easy to talk to.
Oh well. To be honest i was starting to forget about Chase what with the great racing we are getting from Hunter, Eli, Paul and Kenny. Even Joey, Malcolm and JCoop have shown signs of good speed and wanting to be top 5. Plessinger too as he got a 3rd last year at Daytona.
Please dont fck up the coming Suzuki rebirth!! 😅
Beta it is for the ”Chaser”…
He did the same thing at Honda, as far as how he treated the team around him. I’ve lost respect for the guy, but still enjoy watching him ride.
Zacco mentioned Chase wasn't at the facility on Monday when he was there.
So Chase flew home late Saturday evening or sunday morning, straight to test track and got injured?
That says something about the panic mode they are in. Not even allowing recovery.

Seems like Chase's lack of testing ability is the biggest thing holding him back at this point. I don't think its a Kawasaki problem. Prado had ridden steel frames and KTM's for so long that You can not really blame the bike for his results as much as You can blame his lack of being able to be comfortable on it.
Eli did amazing on the Kawasaki's, but lets say the bike is the problem. Eli was amazing on the Honda before crashing and getting hurt. And was good on the Kawasaki , but never really the same as he was on that CRF in his first races on the 450 outdoors. Imagine how different Eli's results would look if he had been on a bike that fit him better all of those years. He looks amazing on the KTM, he was great on the Yamaha. Even years after being ready to retire.
I really don't think it's totally the bike though in Chases case. I think that he's a bad tester and that is making it harder for him to get comfortable. By being a bad tester I mean more that he's bad at picking out something that works better for him. For whatever reasons. Maybe he doesn't know what he really needs and is getting what he wants. But that's sending them farther off track. Maybe he's a big headcase and is having trouble getting comfortable for some reason that is almost totally unrelated to the physical bike itself.
Not panic mode, the SX title was out of the equation so it’s simply grind and work on the bike mode. Many teams and riders do this until the rider is happy.
I've liked Chase for a while, and always thought he seemed like a pretty normal, down-to-earth dude. I'm around his age and know a lot of guys similar to him (at least how he seems when talking with Lewis Phillips and during other more lowkey conversations). But, related to his career, I'm seriously starting to question his professionalism. All the stories point to him being a bit of a spoiled child in the "workplace". Not that he's the first elite rider to be a pain to deal with... but at this point, I think it's suffice to say his stubbornness is hurting his career more than it's helping.
I've seen multiple references to Chase preferring to set his rear end lower than most other riders like a chopper. This would mess with frame geometry as bike was designed and hurt predictable steering unless there was some genius way to balance out front and rear that doesn't seem to be achievable from an engineering standpoint.
His line of thinking must be that he can have the best of both worlds, good steering and stability. He sets up the rear end low for stability then over compensates for this by having a front end bias in his body position on the bike.
Interesting concept i guess. 🤔
Do you have the latest model Kawi. Or just talking out your ass? Bike doesn't do well at high speed!! What an i.....................
I wonder if Chase would benefit from MXGP rules where it's allowed to have work chassis. In any case, the commonality points at him being the problem at any team he's been and a difficult person to work with. I thought the KTM saga was him chasing ghosts to find a set up to beat Jett. But this season Jett isn't even there, so it is indeed Chase's mindset looking for a silver bullet rather than adjusting his technique to what the bike allows him to do.
I like Chase but I don't think the lack of boundaries on setup in MXGP is holding him back. Febvre has won two MXGPs with bent handlebars so I can't draw any conclusion on Kawi's superiority in MXGP other than it's under Febvre.
Kawasaki curse. DAN goes or chase leaves.
Production bike great for regular folk. Not so good for the front end tuck of chase.
headChase
Chase Settin's
I think if anything it would make the problem worse. It would just give him a bunch more options to throw at the wall to see what sticks while chasing an impossible “perfect” setup that doesn’t exist.
Tough to be a fan. Deegs gets a lot of hate but he doesn’t pull this BS. Chase deserves to be booed by the fans and his own team at this point.
Nice finish.
Pit Row
Lewis would be so betrayed if Chase decided to race MXGP for a couple of years. He might be the one making the hanging himself references if that happened.
Kawi needs to copy the 1985 YZ’s for Chase but figure out how to make the BASS system work backwards from how it did. lol.
Makes you wonder what team, and what mechanic will want to deal with him going forward? It'll be the toxic relationship "We can change him" mentality. Maybe he starts his own team, and his dad is his race mechanic.
Sexton will not beat deegs in one moto this summer. Stamp it.
Of course he did
At this rate it's possible for sure.
I just saw the Morgan Wallen graphics on Chase’s bike in the pits, no f**king wonder he’s sitting this one out 🤣😂.
This is insane. Guy takes a practice slammer and now it’s “start his own team” territory. You guys are ridiculous.

I agree with this take. I’m sure Keir is a fantastic father but I think Chase would benefit from a change in dynamic. Maybe his bullish attitude changes if his Dad isn’t there to validate it?
First the Ghost Hounds, and now this. Why does SX want to associate with crappy music?
Morgan Wallen is not crappy music.
