That and the Ducati MXGP bike look hideous to me. Surely someone can take the time to mock something better up here for us to upvote.
They were just tired of hearing Ralph yell "Red Honda!!!", the new viewers will now known instantly.
Expect the other manufacturers to follow suit 😂
The larger than life Honda down the side is the only thing I have a problem with. It's like they were trying to fill ever millimeter of space down the side.

It reminds me of these, haha
To take this wonderful blank canvas, and to then create such a total abomination of graphic design - the mind boggles.
It reminds me of a mechanic who used to come and work on the HVAC systems in a big ol' building I once rented. Just before he'd leave, he'd shout, "Hey! - do something today, even if it's wrong!"
I have a small vintage motocross bike collection. 50s, 60s and 70s Euro and Brit bikes. In that is a 1966 Greeves. I thought it was the ugliest bike ever produced. I was wrong...
It’s like they let Darkside put the stickers on
or Diffey saying HONDERRRRR
Hideous graphics according to my taste...but Euro-cool has always been different than American-cool.
I agree about Euro cool, but that was more Castrol Honda and Chesterfield Suzuki/Yamaha.
Knowing how Honda has operated in the past don’t be surprised if that ends up on the US bikes soon…..
Its a business not a fashion show
Thats not a "euro" thing.
You sure about that? lol
Honda is part of that decision.
Winfield Kawasaki/Suzuki graphics were f... ugly.
But Skittles Yamaha graphics were kind of cool...
the pit beirer skittles yam was cool ! I think both sides of the pond have had crap decals at times over the years , weirdly they get remembered more than the good ones 😂
Pit Row
I was thinking the same about the skittles Yamaha no fear combo myself after posting that 😂😂
I had a local team ask me to make their graphics for Hondas in white, red and a slightly brighter than army green green and some neon green. The owners idea was that people would remember them and that was all he was trying to do. Stick out from the other teams. He wanted to show bigger money sponsors that he could get them more than their moneys worth. They had Jimmy Decotis, Robby Marshal, Jeff Bryant , Mike Picone, Jimmy Albertson , AJ Catonzaro and other riders come through .
In the end I was able to do a lot of fun mock ups for sponsor proposals. and they got the Marines involved with MX/SX. He never ended up with the big sponsor. I think he ended up helping some other teams get in touch with some outside industry brands. But his team went away as his kids got tired of racing . It was fun to be a part of and I was able to get some support for a bunch of riders I was friends with. And some stories collected along the way.
The concept can be done well.
They are following other Honda teams
I don't think the comparison to road or rally bikes is fair. Road and rally have a lot more "skin" on them, so having a giant logo on it takes up about 30% of the space. On a dirt bike, that same logo takes up about 60% and that feels way too big.
🤣🤣🤣
I guess you never saw a Rokon LOL.
Instead of 'Haaaaaaaaaandaaaa' ?
Yes it is a business. That doesnt mean you cannot get all sponsor colors included in a way that still gives a decent look. If you look at the suzuki motogp example prm31 posted the monster logo on a dark background fits the design of the bike. On the Honda its just an awfull look if you do it like that.
I just don’t get why if you are selling advertising space you need Honda to be so big.
It’s clever though, it’s got us all talking about it and I also now know Petronas sponsor them, which I didn’t have a clue about
That is how a Factory HRC bike should look! Clean and stylish!
Slow day at work, so decided to do a little rebrand, while keeping the same principles (colors, logo's same place)
