I saw on social media that Forkner had a big crash at press day today. Anyone know how he is and if he’ll be racing?

As Pat Travers says...Boom Boom out go the lights!
Snortin' whisky and drinkin' cocaine...in my Hot Rod Lincoln.🙃

Right hand came off the bar
Dang it!
Yep, can't hang on
He went long on a combo and endo'd out, he didn't come up short.
The margin for error is so small.
Also why did there end up being multiple other riders there helping him with seemingly zero track crew?
Kenny and Hill, and others, stopping to lift the bike off and help. 👍
Good Lord..
The team really needs to rethink having him on a 450
This. And good to see all the other guys stop and help out. Can’t help but like forkner all that he’s been through and keeps coming back.
This sucks to hear.
And do what ? 90% of these guys have no other options but to keep racing. It’s how they feed their families. They don’t have an education or skills to make a living doing anything else. Many never finished high school and most home schooled.
Edit - this was not meant to be a directed towards Austin. He’s shown his love and desire to win, I was generalizing what some of these riders face.
Plenty of jobs in the industry after racing, do you not see that with most retired riders? Lol
Man I have so much respect for him with how often he came back from the worst injuries. Dude is such a frikkin tough MF, unbelievable. But at some point someone gotta pull the emergency brake before he ends up in a wheelchair.
Really hope he is just banged up from that.
Apparently you don’t know what these jobs pay.
Yeah because he can't go out in the real world and learn a trade or maybe get a industry job. Man some people are too much.😆
Pit Row
Prayers for the kid; he's been through the wringer. 🙏
When you look like Austin, you can’t afford a chick that looks like his on gear guy salary.
🎯~ from someone who’s worked “in the industry”
It’s not that these guys won’t end up finding their way in life, but it’s not an easy transition for many of them that didn’t make enough money while racing.
What do you think an “Industry job” pays ?
'Bout three-fiddy'.
Per hour
Big Forkner fan…and Yea…I know you will get down votes…but I’m not sure where Forkner would fit in post race industry. Test rider…no for health, trainer…I don’t see it, broadcast…no, team manager…probably not. Sure, gear or something maybe….but for what pay there? It’s not a guarantee.
As for education…I agree for many. I ride Thunder Valley during the week some, and always see the same kids ripping on 65s. I said to one of the kids during a break by my truck, “shouldn’t you be in school?”. He laughed and said, “homeschool…but this is way more fun!” Of course it is…but how serious are they taking the homeschooling? I’m sure his dad thinks he will be the next Eli…but odds of that are small….odds of life off the track is high…..but what can you say? That’s what this has become in this ultra competitive sport.
and/or "Born under a bad sign"
Referring to his wife
So were just assuming his wife and mother of his child is a gold digger because she's attractive? The fuck?
Right, that was shallow AF?
Can’t tell … was he wearing the Alpinestars Tech Air MX inflatable protector ?
