Kitchen even left Star, mostly because of haiden…. But still dealing with haiden now.

Here it is from the horses mouth.

No mention of numbness after the race.

“It was a little bit of a frustrating day,” said Kitchen. “The speed is there, and I feel good on the bike, but a few small things kept setting me back. The crash in the heat race was unfortunate, and then in the main I slid out and my arm got hit in the mix. It didn’t feel great after that, so I pulled off, which was a bummer. The main thing is staying healthy so I can come back and fight in Houston.”

Also, take it easy on the caps lock. We get it, you strongly disagree with the half of us that think he gave up 🤙

Sounds like he’s doing the Julien Beaumer classic of minimizing what he went through, Weege confirmed on the review pod that he lost feeling and couldn’t make a fist. In saying that though fair play because you’re definitely not getting that impression from his post race statement

I don't recall him having the red plate in outdoors.  Don't think the red plate left haidens bike in 24 or 25.

So he pulled off because it was the perfect storm to give himself a stranger?

Never waste a numb hand.

Everyone might as well just push their bikes over when the gate drops and let Haiden go.

It won’t matter by then. Mentally Levi isn’t ready. His bike skill is, but his mind is not.

I seem to remember him having it in the Millville timeframe in '24, but I could very well be wrong.

Pretty positive haiden had a very comfortable point lead by that point in the series.   Will have to look again.

Kitchen is not the killer he needs to be if he is going to be a champion.  And I say that living a few miles down the road from his home town.

Kitchen did have a good run with three wins, including Millville, but like everyone in the 250 class, except he who shall not be named, he was too inconsistent to really challenge for the title.

I'd love to see him get it together, but he hasn't been able to since being in the class.  Flashes of speed don't win races and that's all he has.

His skills on the bike are good enough to win a championship.  Where he lacks is mental strength and aggression that comes from deep inside and is strong enough to overcome ALL obstacles.

While that's true and I'm waiting for the official injury report, so far it sounds like a mild injury and he may be back next week. That's what I'm assuming with what I've said.

JS7 got 3rd place in A2 with a broken navicular. It's not just this one thing, it's a pattern.

And to the people who keep saying it's the holeshot device's fault... I'm sure his holeshot device is fine. Those are simple things. The rider needs to get the thing to disengage. And if they don't get it to disengage correctly, they need to ride around it. Again, this is a pattern with Levi. I want Levi to do well but the pattern is that he always has something else to blame and at some point, you have to blame him.

Tell us you have never even raced, let alone used a holeshot device, without telling us.
The comments from the geniuses on here are wild.

https://youtu.be/Z4PYq5HzLKU?si=s7EhK3rjVSxLsB4m&t=808

So he has made the call to move it up a little bit, probably sacrificing the front end staying down some to make it easier to dis-engage. His fork is stiffer than in the past so it's harder to undo it. He takes blame for having it too low but hasn't had this issue before. He talks about practicing technique to push it down more in the first turn.

He has chosen and had input on this setup. He's a veteran of the 250 class at this point and not a 18 year old kid. He clearly knows that setting it lower and running stiffer runs the risk of holding down longer unless you work harder to get the front to compress. That's common sense. I'm not talking smack, I'm just saying that it's Levi's call and if he chooses that bike setup, he needs to make sure he is compressing the fork entering the first turn. It seems that he has had the same synopsis and has chosen to work on both setup and technique. But, sure, I'm and idiot and it's probably his mechanic's fault that the device clearly wasn't working properly and his mechanic doesn't know how to install a holeshot device.

Does anybody think any of these current 250 riders will ever move to 450s and matter more than Craig or McElrath? Besides Deegan. Maybe Davies, Shimoda? I really don't. As far as Kitchen's arm numbness, there are plenty of "tough guy" stories in the pro SX/MX pits we have all heard that humble that.

No Deegan and cole are the only ones who will win races or be podium guys on 450s

As for Levi he needs to go back to a team where he’s held accountable every day by the team. Like star, or he’ll even club. He’s in fl joining through the motions training by himself and that’s proven not to be working. The guys winning have the team n trainers there every day holding them accountable.

Depends how some of the guys develop. I've lost faith in Kitchen's head but there's a chance that he could get it on straight. Not saying he's a guy who's going to win a 450 'chip but he has the talent to win races on the right day. Others still need to develop to truly see their potential. Ryder D. has had a few weird years but is starting to show solid development. There's some chance that Vohland continues improving. Everyone always says it but he looks amazing on the bike. So does Craig to your point though. I believe in Hymas's talent but his body can't hold up. If he ever gets to race for two consecutive seasons, I think he'll be blowing the 250 class out. I'm not sure about Hammaker but he impressed last year and showed some flashes outdoors too. If he can continue developing, and he has the Lawrences in his corner, it's possible for him. Pierce Brown is fast AF every time he gets on a bike but then he goes down hard. There's a reason he's still a prospect though. Who knows what's going to happen with Juju. I believed in him after opening SX last year from a talent perspective but then he sucked in MX and the injury.

I think there's a ton of talent in the 250 class and some guys have a chance to develop into 450 contenders if things go their way for a few seasons in a row.

You have to take into consideration the current crop of top 450 riders besides the Lawerence’s are getting older and will eventually “retire”. Someone has to replace them and it will be the Kitchens of the world

Does it? A lot of Euros want to come here, and a lot of fast young riders coming up. Is Kitchen really better than Davies?

Deegan, Shimoda, Davies, Juju, Adams, Hymas, maybe Bennick if he starts putting it together.

I hope Kitchen gets it all together. He has shown multiple times he has the speed to do it which is very hard to do when talking about Deegan. As fans we always need more riders who can win championships for our entertainment.
