To be fair Eli was the only one who left...RV retired at the end of his contract and Anderson was not offered a contract to return....but hey whatever you need for your agenda...
RV has stated multiple times he wishes he made a switch. It probably would have extended his career.
I get you can’t let Sexton just run himself in circles. But if a guy likes the old shock. Run the old shock. Don’t make him run a new shock and try to make it feel like the old one.
Yes because he was burned out...had nothing to do with Kawi he was just in the pressure cooker too much and he made those comments after seeing how changing brands worked for Eli and his motivation. That fact is that the reality is not what Phil has posted....
I think I read here somewhere that facts matter. . .

Looks like Tomac did 4 races on the 450 in 2013?
2011 was his first supercross season btw, so he had some experience before the 450 class.
You are correct, sir, as is Phil, and I was not. Like I said, facts matter. 👍
Welp..
How did that heat race taste? 3/4 starts so far…
I missed the heat. They don't pay points when it's half the field. How bout that main tho. How many spots did he pick up?
Buckle up you’re gonna hate it .all fucking year. Bad start he did exactly what anyone would expect. How many bad starts are you betting on?
im not betting on the starts. i dont really care about starts. i care about him being able to move through the pack like any champion needs to be able to do.
Like Anderson and Webb did ..... oh wait .
At this point i am fine with him converting starts into results, which is what he use to do in MXGP, most of the time.
At some point that isnt enough , but after 8 mains, i think we can accept that this is a learning curve. If he gates well, he beats Savatgy , he didnt , Savatgy had the same deal, clear track ahead, rode great laps and had a P5 when he could have been mired in 12th .
Jando has been off and Webb...yeah something's not right there, but Webb has a wee bit of credibility in the bank on past rides. prado doesnt.
the wager is that prado can do well when he's up front, but that he'll never be able to do what the elite sx guys do when they just run the table on 95% of the field regardless of where they start. hell, i don't think he makes it past justin cooper's level on average to be perfectly honest. thats still a great career, but i dont think he's a killer. i think hunter lawrence with half his talent will continue to work twice as hard, mentally AND physically, and will work prado 7 times out of 10 from here on out indoors.
Its his first season, and 4th SX race on a KTM. And he has already podium and heat races wins. That without 3-5 seasons on a 250 to learn timing, tracks and setup.
So maybe give him some time before saying never. The massive development from 2024, and last year should make people very careful about saying never with Prado.
It's a fine position to take, I just don't think he's a killer and I don't think he'll break out in supey. Character got shown all last year and then again when he was all smiles after getting beat by an old man by 30 seconds last week. I think he'll have a fine career if he wants it, but I don't think he'll ever be elite and deegan will probably send him packing on day 1. I think it's cool he bet on himself and came over here when he didn't have to and I'm glad he's here.
You used the word 'supey'. Your opinion is invalid.
It's late. Just got done with a 24hr sim race. Sue me.
Just back off the hill you’ll die on take about the main for a moment. Did you see his line in the whoops in qualifying? Did you see his heat race? I know I know
They pay points in the main… but if he’s riding like this in supercross already imagine him outdoors.
Pit Row
Another heat win.
And a good result in the main after a poor jump and getting cut off by Hunter Lawrence straight away.
Raced forwards, which is a first in SX.
Has beaten everyone in the field at some point 3 rounds in.
I think whatever he does from here, you dont luck into 2 heat wins and a Podium in 3 rounds.
I think the triple crown will be right up his street, i will say that i expected him to struggle with the rutty track at A2 but it dried out well enough to no matter.
Was impressed that he hucked the step on table out of turn 2 a few times after not getting out of the turn well.
One lap speed is there too
He is a legit SX racer, 10 races in .
Agree... Jump straight to 450sx is so dificult.
The last guy to do it was tortelli 26 years ago and some people dont realise that.
Prado is riding good and improving each race.
I thought it was super pussy how Prado used what Keefer and the mags say against Kawasaki. He said “oh well we all know it’s documented that the bikes slow”. Then he holeshot from the outside on said slow bike.
I think it’s such a pussy move that you can’t figure out he wants strong low end power and they couldn’t give him that.
Prado is a world class pilot.
In my opinion, at this time he doesn’t have what it takes to be on the box consistently in Supercross. Especially, if he doesn’t start upfront.
Keep in mind we are missing Barcia and Lawrence
Cheers.
Missing Kenny?
I think it would be fair to say that Prado hasn’t reached his peak performance in SX given he’s only 9 races in. With how much he has improved from last year to this year and how in control he looks there’s absolutely no reason why he can’t take another step from where he is now.
The most impressive thing for me is that despite being mid pack and moving forward at A2 he had the best lap time consistency of the whole field, at A1 he had the second best lap time consistency just after Roczen. That tells me that his speed is repeatable and he is not exactly on the limit.
If you look at where Chase and Hunter were at the beginning of their 450 career, it wasn’t too dissimilar to what we’ve seen from Prado so far this season. That is of course no guarantee that he will reach that level, but to be on a similar trajectory when he skipped 250 SX entirely is very impressive
You think he sat down and read Keefer’s bike tests?
Kenny ?
Its a stacked field, even if he doesnt get another podium all year, what he has done in 3 races on the KTM, says he will only improve, and even a small improvement has him right on the money.
My bad. Barcia
I will edit. My bad…..Barcia
How many passes has George made in his heat race wins, has there even been 1 ?
