I’d like this helmet to go to a place where more people can enjoy it. Is there a specific museum or place you guys would recommend it going to? Also, anyone know what year this is from?

As a big RC fan, I'd love it - but I think the best thing is the Road to Recovery auction.
Should be able to tell by the number of foxhead crossbones what race it’s from.

That helmet is likely from the 2005 outdoor season when Ricky went undefeated. That is probably a practice helmet from the final round of the outdoor motocross season which would’ve been at Hangtown. He won that race marking his 12th consecutive win on the season.
He only lost one moto that season to Kevin Wyndham.
My 6 yr old would love it, he has Bar To Bar on repeat and rarely watches cartoons LOL -
IF not, the Malcolm Smith Museum in Riverside Ca might be interested in it - who knows
Hangtown was the opening race. Final round was Glen Helen and he wore his MXdN gear with the 101 on the bike.

Yeah it's only 21 years old huck it ! 😄
He went 2-1 at southwick in 2005. Reed won the first moto after Ricky crashed.
I used to have that pair or another he wore that day. I forget what happened before this round, but there was a Red Cross patch on one of the hips, I think. Maybe it was a tsunami?
