I’m in the camp of I’d rather not hear either of them on the podium. They’re both cringey for different reasons. On a side note I find myself completely tuned out on 250s this season so far. It’s not even just that one guy is running away as much as it’s just kinda boring all the way through the pack. Or at least what’s been televised anyway. Feel like the East/West split has run its course. I’d much rather see the best on 250s race every weekend.

I heard Trump used to love Moto. Apparently used to have a KX500 and was an absoloute send lord in the whoops. Also a Whitehouse insider told me he runs mouses, not tubes. And he loves his jumps bigly. He had a Chevy trucks sticker kit, some steg pegz and was an early adopter with the paddle tire. He loved holeshotting and was upset when they introduced the grate, rekons he had good feel with the clutch and it took his advantage away. People say he could have been better than Reed.

Love him or hate him, it’s always fun to see a new rider enter the big dog class!

Eli is in my top 3 all time. His wife must be an amazing person too, with them having 3 kids and he´s still able to be competitive and winning at 32. I think he´s smart, and it seems he´s got very good people and family around him. I hope he´s got a good 3-4 solid years in him, because I dread the day he retires.

What a great man he is. Off the track, he is quiet, humble and holds himself accountable. He’s always just quietly done the work. On the track, he is an absolute animal, you could see the effort he put in today. To be doing it this level at his age with 3 kids, it’s truly unbelievable. I’m thankful we have him for a couple more years, and that he clearly wants to be here and feels he can continue to be competitive. I will be soaking up these next two years!

At the Washougal national this year, all of us VetMX guys were on the podium for pictures etc. on Friday after the amateur races were over. Eli was behind the podium and was giving autographs to the guys. I went back there to have him sign my military number bib, which he graciously did. As he was signing he looked at my face and saw my black/cut eye from my crash in my 40+ class and said, "What'd you do to that eye?"
