I did not see anything live, but results seemed to have lots of the S scattered throughout top half of field?

Suzuki proves that bike development / getting everything figured out completely is way more important than having the latest and greatest design features.

How many times do we see a new design introduced and watch the team struggle for the first half of the season?

I’m not surprised.

I’m pretty sure the yellow bike had the fastest lap time of the night, but can’t say for sure because live timing was jacked up. Regardless, not bad for an old outdated obsolete bike.

Im loving it seeing yellow up on the podium. My first 4 bikes as a kid were Yellow.

Here's me greasing up a fresh one.

The other manufacturers should be looking at whatever the Suzuki has, that they’re moving away from..

When the current Suzuki was new, it wasn’t a dominant bike. But it’s doing just as good today as it was nearly a decade ago.

Maybe the latest design advances really aren’t?

What people and the oems don't seem to understand is this isn't the eighties it's not the 90s hell it's not even the early 2000s we do not for any reason need an entirely new bike every 4 years you want to give us the new model every six years have a 6-year development cycle and on the 6th year give us a new bike great. Six years Max the price of these bikes goes down probably 1500 to 2 Grand over the lifetime of the model and makes the sport a whole lot more affordable

Can’t be surprised when Kenny has proven time and time again that it’s a top contending bike

Just watch any of Carson Browns videos on YouTube, rider technique and talent are more important than most of the last 20 years of updates.

Not one bit surprised. I remember people talking like this about 2016 RMZs.

Price won't go down, the world runs on a debt based fiat currency system.  That means prices of things go up over time, regardless.  The YZ 250 is still 3k more than it was 20 years ago, but the bike hasn't changed.

I thought Anderson and Roczen’s bikes looked the best last night but the ktms and webb’s bike weren’t far behind.

Not surprised at all

What'd Kenny say in the post race- hasn't made a single click of adjustment since Daytona.

There's nothing game changing going on in ice bike development at the moment. In my mind that Suzuki is more works than most of the works bikes. The chassis and engine has had everything possible done to it to suit one rider over several years- no picking a new bike and figuring out it's strengths and weaknesses over time.

It was cool to see as a Suzuki fan. I don’t think anyone was surprised with Roczen’s speed, but maybe his pace at the end of the race. Anderson was a pleasant surprise and it was nice to see Nichols do much better than previous years.

I was more surprised with Crockett Myers putting the only RMZ250 in the main if I’m being completely honest. He went p23 in timed qualifying and ripped a great start in the lcq.

The bikes didn’t surprise me at all, but I must admit Ando definitely exceeded my expectations. Even after he won WSX I had doubts, but he looked damn good for A1 and noticeably in better shape than he was in WSX. Going to be a great season of racing.

I figured Roczen was gonna be on fire last night. He looks freaking jacked in that recent Monster video, and more importantly he seems like he's in a really good spot mentally. He's super confident in his motorcycle, he states it almost every interview lately.

No, tbh Suzuki almost has an advantage imo. They can rely on last years settings every year, don’t have to worry about new bikes and testing the new platform each year

While this is definitely true and I agree, you dont see any suzukis at the track anymore and it seems their sales have dropped off a cliff. I think all manufacturers need a gentleman's agreement to stretch out the cycles much longer for everyones sake.

Remember when keefer rode the 07 honda and said its still a better chassis as any bike out today? That just shows throwing the whole bike in the trash every few years is dumb. Yamaha has actually been smart going the old ktm route of small changes over time, though they may have messed that up this year, well see.

The team provides whatever they can for their riders. They’ll even look beyond what’s available if they feel they need new answers. That’s jus’ awesome.

They’ve got championship riders on their 450s…championship riders that have said, on quite a few occasions, that they’re stoked on how the team builds them a bike that really works for them.

Personally, I know that El Hombré is simply…very happy with the bike. He’s more invested in his bike’s set-up than I’ve ever seen…before…EVER. There’s all sorts of opportunity to go test and look for that little extra that he’s looking for…that little extra matters at their level. Their confidence resides in the little things and knowing the team will “go there”.

PMG Suzuki is run by people that fully understand that last sentence.

Ya know, I’ve been watching Jason since Loretta’s. Obviously, I’m in El Hombré’s corner…and…Kenny? Well, hell, Kenny’s still that amazing GP champ that rode a 125 against the faster 250/4T/MX2 bikes jus’ because he wanted to have some fun….and, c’mon…he’s KR! But, what I’m really excited to see…what I’m really hopeful for? Is seeing Colt put it ALL together…again. This seems like the place…the team…the year where that can happen. Last night’s 12th in the main after having to go to the LCQ shows he’s no quitter.

This team…that bike…even the 2 Title Sponsors: Progressive Insurance -AND- Twisted Tea…all of it…is “Beyond The Norm”, to me. I’m really digging that.

See you at the races.

Not even remotely surprised. My prediction was Roczen 1 or 2 with Tomac taking the other spot.

Anderson is obviously in a good head space and his team has his back. I liked how he looked in the off season races and just felt like he'd have something extra this year.

Yeah.  What are these revolutionary technologies that the new bikes have that make them so much better?

I think Suzuki has taken the long road to prove that change for the sake of change is unnecessary. It could be argued that they have the best performing bike on the track tonight.

A decade of "development" and many other are not performing at the same level... Thats saying something.

kinda like the Apple culture: keep people salivating for the latest and greatest release each year at higher cost and obsolete the earlier ones that did the basics really well and no reason to upgrade if it still gets the job done.

I was impressed how close he was to Carson Brown when they did back-to-back hot laps on an older RM250 with minimal changes to peg and handlebar positioning. It was like 1-3 seconds at most difference either way.
