I wonder if he was wearing the inflatable A star protector and if it helped? I hope so.

If you watch the link I posted above it will make you sick.  Looks like he's trying to move but only a few muscles are working (or convulsing) and everything else is not working....please let him not be paralyzed.

That one bothered me. I'm not in medical, but even I know that if there are two people hurt like that, you go to the one who isn't moving.

Yeah super odd as I feel like our attention in the stands were on Malcom and then realized Barcia was down also and not moving anything at all. Very scary to watch. I hope things are not as bad as they look!

I couldn’t even see Malcolm from our seats but sat watching Barcia not moving but didn’t know it was him.

I did and you're right. Very hard to watch. Prayers, positive vibes, strength, whatever you want to call it sent his way. 🙏

I think he was KTFO, and sometimes your body twitches and tweeks as all the circuits are trying to refire. This is just my opinion, and I'm not a medical expert.

I'm glad they are saying he has feeling, but I'm slightly worried about how his brain is doing.

The way he rag dolled after, looked like he got knocked out as soon as he hit the ground. Extremely hard to watch. I’m praying it’s nothing too serious and he makes a full recovery.

Man that was really tough to watch. I really hope he's OK. That was about as hard a hit as I've ever seen anybody take.

Thank God there are reports that he can move all his limbs.  I can go to sleep now.

I was approx 25’ from where it happened and watched the the chaos after he went down. There were AMA officials scrambling to have the race red flagged almost instantaneously once they saw both Mookie and Barcia were down. What made me sick to my stomach was having my eyes on Barcia the entire time he was down and it appeared he was knocked unconscious and laying there for a solid minute before anyone came to his aid. During that time i could see his right arm having what looked to be a seizure. Shaking while nothing else was moving. It was gut wrenching to see. It seeks like he was moving around a bit when they were getting him loaded into the cart. I’m pretty I saw him move his leg and also an arm when they were loading him into the mule.

When Anderson came back to stage for the restart he was telling a mechanic he had nothing to do with that. It all happened so fast I could not tell what happened, but I guess JA was right next to him when Barcia/Mookie went down.

Anyway it did seem like forever before Barcia recieved any aid…. It seemed really odd to see a rider laying motionless on a track for that amount of time. Maybe it was only seconds but while watching it unfold it seemed like minutes.

Any word on Mookie? I was so concerned about Barcia I had no idea Mookie was hurt too

That looked bad in so many ways. Hoping for the best possible outcome.

We were up in 424 and just about our entire section pulled out their phones and zoomed in as far as we could to see if we saw ANY movement at all. Everyone was looking for any little sign of movement. And no, sadly it was much longer than a few seconds. Seemed almost like an eternity before they got to him, but it was way too long for sure.

Girl next to me has a video that she started on Barcia a bit after the crashing looking for movement as she’s in the medical field. I feel like she recorded forever with zero movement and no help for too long. We were in 410 first row so it wasn’t exactly the most clear video.

Sounds like he is moving and gave thumbs up on the way out. It's a small thing but the thumbs up tells a lot IMHO. No one who is dealing with the thought of being paralyzed is going to be giving thumbs up as they get carted off. Plus it shows he was awake and aware at that point. Just my opinion.

100%, to make it this long in your career and prob be only a year or 2 away from retirement and this this close to being paralyzed i would be hanging it up . I’m sure it was hard for guys like Eli and Roczen to see as they’re in the same boat and only a year or 2 away from retirement and I’m sure the what if that happens to me went through their heads

Praying for Justin, dude is a racers racer and so hard to see this happen. These bent track designs need to be kicked to the curb. It’s high time they put major effort into the tracks and slow them dow

If one guy can’t triple in front of a pack of guys that are does it matter how fast they’re going ? As long as there big jumps, sooner or later guys are going to land on each other. And we know big jumps aren’t going away.

I think Craig is the oldest guy at 34.  Barcia is 33.

I've long thought it sketchy as hell that 20 riders hit turn 1 and immediately are launched into a rhythm section. Talk about asking for trouble. I'd love to see the tracks have the first 3 or 4 turns created with as few jumps as possible so that riders can stretch out a bit. Yes, I'm aware that we all want to see lotsa jumps, so I'm aware of the trade-off.
