Unpopular opinion: Lawrence is still going to win this 2026 SX title, just not the one everyone originally thought. I’m all in on Hunter Lawrence winning the title this year. The #96 we saw during the SMX finals, that guy wins this SX title.

Sure if we were talking smx but we are talking sx.  His 25 SX results were 11,5,5,5 and he was 9th overall in 24.   Dude needs to show he can win a sx race or at least be a top 3 rider more often than not.  Currently he has 2 podiums from 24.

The best starter, on the same bike as last year, fresh off beating everyone besides his brother in SMX. He’s the guy to beat this SX season, not Coop, not Chase, not Eli, not Kenny.

the 11th was an anomaly. The other 5ths were a solid start to a championship campaign. Lose 1 or 2 big hitters through injury and now he's scoring podiums every round. That's championship material right there.

Several championships have been won by a rider who didn't win a race. Its not impossible. As we keep seeing- consistency is key.

SMX is not SX. By the SMX time of the year you are only getting a full effort from a couple of guys. At the beginning of SX everyone is ready to rip.

According to the Two Jason’s… the entire sport is now SuperMotoCross.  They say we just have a “Supercross series” and a “motocross series”.

Just treat him like a normal dude and don’t ask him questions that are off putting or super personal.  

That being said.  He’s my favorite for the title and will at the very least be in the running at least once throughout the season.

I think Hunter is going to surprise everyone and string together some good results while CS4 and ET3 are busy fucking around trying to get their new bikes dialed in.

it’s not tht hard ppl , their branding the sport , SMX is the league’s name , ala pro basketball = brand name NBA , pro football = brand name NFL  , pro dirt bike racing = SMX ( 2 disciplines of supercross & motocross )
