My crystal ball says Jett sets fast time in qualifying, but bad luck in the main keeps him from winning. Finishes on the podium, though. After that, the crystal ball is cloudy, lol.
Think you have the numbers mixed up….
Looks like Cooper has been bulking

I thought #11 Kyle Chisholm retired from AMA SX Racing?
18 guys with at least 1 title are in the 450 class.
5 guys who were damn close multiple times or have 250 title winning speed.
Thats insane.
I know we say it every year, but crazy how stacked it is yet again.. We sure are lucky to have racing like this. With the old guys staying in the class longer and some younger guys moving up, the field is crazy deep. Looking at A1 lineup, in 'theory' you have 10 people that could win the race. My 10, in no particular order: Jett, Chase, Eli, Hunter, Ken, Webb, J-Coop, Anderson, Plessinger and Malcolm. All of which have won SX races in the past couple years, minus J-Coop who was very close last year and I would think ends up with 1 this year.
It's stacked.

Edit:
Added Forkner. Making his 450 debut at A1.
I googled just to post on here. The photo was just the icing on the cake it needed 😂.
In before someone attacks Mav that the SMX title doesn't count/is a fake title.
Neither do 250SX Titles.
Webb is a 4-time champion, but he says he's a 6-time champion.
Best off season ever
Lucas Cohen is lining up too, very impressed with that kid after watching at MXDN
It's a title by name only. If anyone thinks SMX has the legitimacy of a 450 sx or 450/250 outdoor title, they are delusional. I would even put a regional 250 sx title above a 3 race series co-opting a title to seem legitimate.
Pit Row
The Top 5 are picks I’m feeling pretty good about; because, it’s A1! But, everyone after that…I just started plugging in names…I need to change the order…need to look at track and count the whoops and other features…because…
I see a healthy Bloss doin’ better than 16th. I think Marchbanks has the ability to be well inside the top ten; but, I also see him being careful…Ferrandis is a Wild Card…if he’s got that new scooter figured out…well…a Stoked Ferrandis RAILS!
1st Edit-let’s call it “Revision 12/30” based on who’s in or out as of NOW and…BTW, how many Whoops are we gonna see? Why? Because, more Whoops changes EVERYTHING. Also, I’m hopeful that Barcia will wait until he’s 100%. It’s still “a dartboard dash” 🤣

I’m still wondering what the dirt will be like. I’m assuming they’re planning to build the track at the last minute due to expected rain early in the week.
We ALWAYS say,”Damn! This field is stacked!”…but, DAMN! THIS field IS! 🤣
I’m expecting some serious surprises during qualifying and some real shit-shows in the 1st turn/1st few turns of the races. Not necessarily talking “take outs”…but…A LOT OF FAST RACERS fighting for position in the very early moments of all 4 races…yes…including the LCQ. Go do a head count and take a look at who’s gonna have to end up in the LCQ. Damn. Early race intensity is REALLY gonna be a thing this season.
Honestly, you could throw darts at a list of riders and come up with the Randocross we’re likely to see. 🤣
Forkner possibly racing the Triumph 450 until Smith comes back.
He is 6x champion, but only a 4x National Champion
I'm feeling Malcolm for a top 5
I kinda feel like Kenny will get A1. From round 2-3 it should be the Jett show though.
That looks pretty good right there. The top two will not change the whole year. H might beat J at 1 or 2 races.

I’ve got Jett winning the title and Hunter right behind him if both are healthy….but for A1
1. Roczen
2. Hunter
3. Mookie
4. Jett
Tomac and Sexton will take a couple rounds to get settings right and feel comfortable under race conditions
Hunter is way better outdoors. I think by the end of the year he is behind Jett, Sexton, Tomac and Webb. He probably has a leg up on Sexton and Tomac the first few rounds.

I agree, years past one could argue the bike gap was larger. Even on 450’s up until recently factories had a massive advantage. Now, the stock platforms are so good all you really need is beefed up clutch, suspension, and some engine, ECU work and it’s game on.
But the field is stacked, teams like Quad lock are underrated for what they provide.
