I love datas and comparisons myself and we could relate the number between Haiden's first 450 SX race at 19, Jett's first 450 race at 19 (2022 MXON) and Jett's first 450 SX race at 20 (2024 Anaheim 1), but that wouldn't tell us a lot of things... Just like comparing Haiden's 450 compared to Jett's 450 career is DIFFERENT than comparing their 250 careers, we know Jett is a completly different animal now than on the 250, maybe same for Haiden, maybe not...
I think the only thing we can take on right now is how good or not good Haiden looked and what he need to work on.
Jett looked smooth, on point and better than he was on the small bike the moment he stepped up. He moved up, and was already the top dog and improved a lot his speed compare to 250.
Haiden moved up this week-end for the very first time and the way I see it we could have had two type of Deegan showing in Argentina : a calm and calciulated smooth Deegan like we've seen sometimes this summer (Ironman or Budds Creek), patience, analysis, technique. Or, the version that came up, an impatient and overdoing Haiden like we kinda saw at Thunder Valley.
Haiden's debut were not an alarm by any mean, he has a lot of time to evolve, but he needs to. If he does his entire 450 career like he did this week-end, that is not gonna be competitive at all. He didn't seem as natural as Jett, it does not mean it is not gonna be one day, but a lot of work to do. Smooth it out, think and analyse the track, don't force it too much. Slower is faster.

I for one, Really appreciate your posts - always interesting and informative, especially for a bloke that's crap at sorting that stuff out for himself . Well the competition will most likely be about 100X stronger than the year Jett did it, so undefeated will be tough. If 38 is healthy he’s a title contender against Jett outdoors you can go ahead and stamp that. The kid doesn’t lose many motos outside.
Also we can’t compare MXoN results because neither did it on a 250

Deegan will have nothing for Jett
Time will tell. Deegan takes lots of chances, sometimes beyond control. The 450 takes no prisoners. Personally I believe Jett is the guy, followed closely by his brother,Tomac, and Sexton. Closely followed Webb, Anderson, Roczen, Stewart, Cooper, I believe Deegan will fit in this group all fighting for top 5 finish.
I don’t think the comparison of wsx track and an AMA sx track is palatable since they are quite a bit different.
Not that the results would have been different, since Jett is a freak who won his first race (MXdN) on a 459, then went 22-0 and won the 450 sx title in his rookie season.
However, Jett did have a full outdoor season outdoors on the 450 under his belt before he raced sx.
I don’t think Hunter will beat Sexton indoors or out if Chase stays healthy.

I did an interesting stats right here, because I heard a lot that Haiden was already fast enough to race the 450's on his 250 this summer. So I went to the 2025 AMA pro motocross results and took the amount of time Haiden took to finish his laps and put that in comparison to the 450 race that was just before or after Haiden's moto to see which place he would have landed.
I also take into the results the other 250 riders that finished ahead of him. I didn't counted High Point moto 2 because of the mud. I did the same data with Jett's last 250 season right after.
