Outside gate in all 3 motos and finished on the podium,
He’s planned to line up on 250 sx in 26, this would be a massive backwards step for his career progression,
He’s shown clearly with limited time on a 450 he’s ready to be in that class after just one night of racing,
I’m not a huge fan of Deegan’s antics but as a athlete and racer he can’t be denied, The 450 class will be better with him in it,
The 250 class will be better with him out of it
I really enjoyed WSX last night. Some great racing and the format was cool.
Definitely smart of them to debut on the 450 there instead of A1.
He rode great, but has a lot of work to do.Thumps up,he will be soon in the mix of the top riders.
I enjoyed the whips being thrown

He didn't suck, but he hasn't debuted the 450 yet, either. WSX is not a true test. Jett, Hunter, Chase, Eli and Webb might have had something to say about Deegan's "podium" if they had been there.
Ahem:
The decision to keep him in the 250 ranks in Supercross was already pillaging what could be an historic moment in the sport, but after last night's performance (assuming this continues in other WSX rounds) they should be justifiably SHUNNED if this is the course they remain on. The time for Deegan on 450 is now and Anaheim 1 is the race, it's as simple as that.
Okay, so its a consensus...
Exactly this.
He also had bike issues in the first 2 motos and said he’s still definitely learning the bike.
He’s ready for the 450s, I’m not saying he’s ready to win. I’m saying he’s ready to join the class and hold his own.
So will craig shave his head? He usually wears it short anyway.
He started 3rd and finished 3rd behind Roczen with full blown diarrhea and JCOOP who said in his interview, he couldn't care less.
It was good experience, but didn't show at all that he should skip a title defense. Go 450 outdoors to build confidence. There's no rush
While funny, there is some truth in that. I'm not saying he won't be good on a 450 but I don't think he's podium level yet if it were a full 20 minute AMA SX main event. Based on who he was battling with, I'd guess he'd be around 8th right now which is solid and he will certainly get better with more time on the bike. I thought he would've been closer to the front not battling with Zaragoza.
The question is: If he had won all 3 finals, would the team just scrap the 250sx program and go 450 in A1?
No one is pushing like they normally would. Deegan said himself that he didn't want to wad himself up and end up in a foreign hospital.
He rode well, but I'm getting 2012 Justin Barcia Monster Cup vibes. I hope he has a stronger 450 career than JB. Both dominate 250 champions with a clutch-destroying style.
Which is fine if hes a 5-8th guy. Not everyone is a podium guy the minute the move up to a 450. I was 50/50 before but now I'm leaning more towards he should be on a 450 at A1. Is beating up on the 250 class really going to do anything for him as a racer? If anything unless he wins every 250 sx race, it will be looked at as a failure. At least in the 450 class nobody is expecting him to win immediately. Except some delusional Deeganites
Many think this is very much still in the cards, in which case the decision to switch to 450 for A1 would not be contingent upon his winning all WSX rounds. He showed up last night and if this continues, some would say we may expect them to switch their plan for January.
Not a good look for the cringe lord last night... getting beat by Cooper and kroc... neither are top 5 in real sx... his team couldn't figure out how to pick a gate, while everybody else had no issue... then he looked stoked afff to finish third... like he won the thing or something... lmao.... basically another cringey night for deegs and crew...
Pit Row
He had good speed and came through the pack first two motos, id like to see lap times on those two motos and he didn’t get gapped by Ken, didn’t Ken win a main even this last year? When will the denial stop? He’s the real deal and is exciting to watch ride.
Both can be true statements.
I’d like to see him jump into 450. Race a full season of SX instead of a half season, then all of outdoors/SMX. He’s as prepared as anyone has ever been, he’s really fast, just make the jump.
Whatever he races, just don’t let him near the microphones..
when people later review his career championships (which they always do) having another 250 SX Title will count more than at best top 5 finishes where he is overmatched in 450 by more experienced guys. He's probably more in the group of Stewart and Savatchy than podium than this year. I bet his family guidance will count more than what some posters here think is best for his development.
Kenny was a top 3 guy most rounds in SX and contending for the title until his chain derailed lol, good one
He was on the podium by 1 point, because of a funky scoring system where the 3rd moto was worth more points than the other two combined.
"He didn't get gapped by Ken"
Roczen beat him by like 15 seconds every race (two 8 minute races and a 12 minute race) and was over a second a lap faster. Your post is the closest thing to denial I've seen in this thread. No one is saying he sucks.
Took him 3 laps to get by Polletteli
His family guidance is as good as anyone has ever had. And his record at this point is great. But the last, biggest step is to win in the 450s, and he’s as ready as anyone has ever been.
Last night was a litmus test for Deeg.
Yea you’re missing Jett, Hunter, Eli, Anderson, and AP in that. Last year was a goofy year with a lot of top guys sick or hurt.
ready as anyone- according to you 🙃 If you want to look at great family guidance and results over the long term I'd look to the Tomac family as the best example with current champions. Get back to us when Deegan and his family have even half that record.
