We have to control spending. Everyone is full of shit until there's an actual numeric metric that says otherwise. They all promise this and that, yet debt keeps climbing. All we need is sustainable economics so we can get back to arguing about regular stuff. Anyone watch David Schweikert videos on the Youtubes? Cuts are fine and reducing spending is fine, but it's all horseshit if you cut revenue. Trump cut revenue. He doesn't know basic math and his supporters don't care. And Dems will win in '28 and they won't figure anything out either.

Talking about Tucker Carlson and Mark Levin among others. Heritage has even stepped in it. It started with some Republicans starting to question Israel support.

Reducing the debt is a lost cause.

I just did the drive from Dallas to Beaverton (30 hours!) so I listened to the Carlson/Fuentes interview and Shapiro’s response just to see if it was being portrayed accurately. It mostly was…..

Shapiro is his own kind of nut job also, but my gut feeling is that he’s about 1000% more principled and honest than Carlson. Fuentes is just a piece of shit in every way.

You have more stamina than I do. I heard some of Carlson/Fuentes but found it mostly uninteresting. I did not listen to the Shapiro response but I heard quite a few comment in the same way. It was all about giving Fuentes a platform which doesn't mean much to me. I don't have a problem with interviewing the biggest creep in the world. I don't even care how much he did or didn't "push back" as they say. What gave me the stink eye was some right wingers saying that Carlson should not be inviting people like Fuentes into the "Conservative" tent. Who the fuck do they think they are? Gate keepers of wholesome and godly right wing? Don't make me laugh when my lips are chapped.

I'm going to check out Shapiro's response. Levin gave a speech to some Jewish/Republican crowd  and just ripped into Carlson. Check that one out.

Skye Jethani and David French have a pretty good discussion about this topic from today on The Skye Pod. It’s an offshoot of The Holy Post podcast, so there’s a religious element to it but it’s definitely worth a listen. I won’t post a link so that I don’t violate the Separation of Church and Vital, but it’s easy to find on Spotify and probably other platforms.

I’m not necessarily on the side of those that are complaining for Tucker merely having him on as a guest. The sad part was how he failed to challenge or even really question so many of the vile things that Fuentes does or has done. It’s one thing to interview someone, it’s another to bend over and accept what they say as gospel, effectively normalizing their actions and views. But that’s pretty typical of Carlson’s style.

I watch David French and Sarah Isgur at least once a week. They do a show that comments on judicial matters and they both have a fair amount of knowledge. It's called Advisory Opinions. It's part of the Dispatch channel that regularly has people like Jonah Goldberg and Steve Hayes. They recently acquired Scotusblog which talks about all things Scotus and has lots of good info on the Supreme Court for those like me who have no life.

I watched the Shapiro response until it became monotonous.  I have a low pain threshold for brow beating. I get it. He really does not like Tucker but when did this start? It started when Tucker began criticizing Israel. The Fuentes fiasco was just icing on the cake. There is a segment of the American Jewish community that has zero tolerance for Israel criticism. They act an awful lot like the Trans community when anyone gives them even the slightest bit of push back. They also react exactly like the left by slinging slurs and insults. It stands to reason that most American Jews are democrats. They act like it.  Check out what AIPAC did to Jamaal Bowman in New York. Talk about foreign interests meddling in our elections.

I didn’t even know who Fuentes was.

Last nite driving home, Levin played a montage of the vile things he has said.

Listening to that little putrid punk made my blood pressure go wayyy up.

The kid is off the rails. He claims to be  conservative but he’s gone full circle and mingling with liberal ideas among some very misled far right ideas. Some of these kids are going down a very dark path.

I knew who he was but never paid any attention to him. All I knew was what other people said about him. The more I see of him the sadder I get that he has such a following. He is repulsive for sure but it was not his interview with Tucker that started this war. You can trace most of it back to when we bombed Iran. There were several reliable conservatives that split with Trump on this bombing. Other than their wrong predictions that it would start WW3, they did questioned why we were getting involved in a war on behalf of another country. They rightfully questioned whether or not Trump was sincere about his campaign pledge against that sort of thing. That's when you heard the fist murmurings of the antisemite accusations. When some conservative politicians began to question our financial support for Israel it went into high gear. The accusations were falling on deaf ears though and support for Israel began to crumble. The Israel lobby has been in a panic ever since. Fuentes is repulsive on many counts but the only one that the Israel lobby cares about is his position on Israel and American Jews. Unfortunately, he gives a face to their accusations now. Anybody who talks to him or defends Tucker for hosting the interview is an automatic antisemite.

You should check out the Megan Kelly show from her tour in Jacksonville the other night with Ben Shapiro. He did a good job explaining why he's against what Tucker did, not Tucker himself. Also lays into Megan quite a bit for defending Tucker.

Can someone post a link to the Levin montage about Fuentes, or a summary in general?  I know nothing about him, but a quick google AI search brought up some biased bullshit like this (emphasis added on the BS part)

Racism and White Supremacy

White identity and "white genocide": Fuentes promotes white nationalist ideology, including the "Great Replacement" theory, which falsely claims that non-white immigrants are replacing white Americans.

I saw it. Shapiro fancies himself a gatekeeper of the conservative movement and implied that Megan should also. She rightfully replied no. Also to Shapiro, simply not being pro Israel, means you are anti Israel, which he conflates to being antisemitic . I agree with Megan, that's bullshit.

Him being pro white is not bullshit.

“We need white men in charge of everything again.” (America First livestream, 2024)

“The true America is a white and Christian nation.” (March 2023 rally)

“A tidal wave of white identity” is coming (post-Charlottesville, 2017)

“White people are every single bit justified in being racist.” (August 2025 stream)

“We need to remain majority White.” (reply to Charlie Kirk, Aug 2025)

The decline of white folk in America is alarming. There’s also “replacement migration” right on the UN website.

Non white immigrants replacing white Americans is also not bullshit though. It’s mostly brown people from south/Central America, the Middle East and Asia that are coming over.

I think the reasons for this are far more complex and I know nothing of this dude but it’s likely he doesn’t understand or want to understand the systemic issues at the cause of this “brown wave”.

I personally am no nationalist and I think if they want to come, let ‘em all in! if they want to work and pay taxes like the rest of us and build a better life for themselves like our forefathers, than who am I to gatekeep?

Just get rid of any and all types of social welfare and freebies. Free shit should be off the table except to people that served in the armed forces. they actually fought for and deserve it. Though I can’t say I believe that what they fought for was a just cause.

In a world of identity politics, it seems the only wrong philosophy is being "pro white".  Why is that?  White pride is racist, but every other ethnic group should be celebrated?

The bullshit aspect of the statement pasted from Google was that AI claimed that the great replacement theory is bullshit.  It is real and happening in every western country except Poland, as far as I can tell.

I'd be curious to know the context of some of the statements you posted.  He (Fuentes) may be a complete racist, but the context of those statements matter.  I have seen too many statements falsely attributed to Trump that were complete lies to trust a partial statement without context.

The main point is that there should be nothing wrong with Tucker interviewing anyone.  Also, Levin and Shapiro are 100% Israel first, so fuck them and any of our politicians who have similar beliefs.

I've really drifted away recently from all these sensationalistic types. Carlson, Levin, Shapiro, Candace, even Megyn Kelly. They serve a purpose sometimes but then to fill the gap between real news events they drum up click bait drama. I had no idea who Fuentes was but I had heard his name before. I still don't find him important to anything.

Really finding myself scrolling past a lot of this stuff.

You can see his "show" on Rumble I believe. You will soon see the context you are looking for and most likely conclude that he is as repulsive as people say he is. His attempts to hide behind the otherwise reasonable question of why is white pride wrong, fails miserably in my opinion. The real Nick comes right on through.

He did a podcast with the Hodge Twins if you want to see who he is.

There are soooo many kooks on social media and the like…personally, they don’t need me to waste my time listening to thier stupidity. There are, apparently, plenty of others that have the invaluable time to waste on them and then complain about them.

No worries. In the words of one Mr. Hetfield when doing his lyrical best as the frontman for an amazing band…

Ain’t My Bitch

But, I digress. 🤣

Just get rid of any and all types of social welfare and freebies. Free shit should be off the table except to people that served in the armed forces. they actually fought for and deserve it. Though I can’t say I believe that what they fought for was a just cause.

The problem with that is the majority of them don't want to assimilate and contribute. It's no different in Canada. They say one thing and continue living as they did in their country. They automatically have a better life because the government pays for it off the hard working people. It's bullshit.

I got nothing against immigration if they want to come work and contribute to society. If their plans is just to come over, live 4 families in a household, and freeload off the people and spread their bullshit views, commit crimes, etc., they can pack their shit and go back to wherever the fuck they came from.

Protesting about their views and country, demanding to be treated differently, chanting Death to Canada on Canadian soil, etc, those people can fuck right off.

Pro white is a little odd, what would it even mean? African-Americans celebrate their African ancestry, but there's no such thing as white ancestry. As whites, our ancestry comes from the UK or France or Italy, or etc. etc. etc. I'm not sure where your immigrant ancestors came from, but there's absolutely nothing wrong with celebrating your ancestry from those countries. Mine came from Italy in the late 1800's and unfortunately those celebrations died with my grandmother, but they were lots of fun when I was a kid. Buncha noisy Italians talking over each other making endless piles of amazing food, it was a good time.

Your argument defeats itself. African Americans can celebrate their ancestry, but white people need to celebrate a specific country’s culture? By that standard, wouldn’t African Americans need to celebrate Kenyan or Ghanaian culture?

And I don’t really see where African Americans are celebrating their ancestry beyond the blackness they inherited from their ancestors. Perhaps the recent Somalian immigrants are celebrating their Somali traditions, but that only shows that there is no unifying African American experience. Some black Americans descended from slaves, some are from many generations of free immigrants, and I know at least one black American is a first generation African American of Kenyan ancestry because we elected that guy president. The only unifying trait among those people is the fact that they’re black.

So in essence you’re saying that black people have some latitude to celebrate their blackness while white people do not. That’s a facially racist position, and a more dangerous one than you realize.

What exactly is there to celebrate in the history of ‘white culture’?

I don’t know, Hair metal? Cheeseburgers? Napa valley wine tours?

If you’ve got a point, just make it.

The problem with that is the majority of them don't want to assimilate and contribute. It's no different in Canada. They say one thing and continue living as they did in their country. Bingo, I mentioned this in other threads.  The largest difference is that they do not assimilate and contribute, then demand changes.  I couldn't agree with you any more Mav.  The issue as an American I take up right now is that liberals are using them as tools for power, at the same time selling out Americans and the soul of America itself.  People aren't seeing the longer larger picture and makes me shake my head.
