Those thieves are going to be so confused when they try to start those championship bikes that have no internals 😂

What state does he live in?  Horrible.

I don't have 17 bikes only 5 but i got cameras on all corners of my garage that notify any movement.

I'm surprised he doesn't.

sucks and hope he gets them back!

That’s freaking scary!  I’m sure there were quite a few scary men in his home to steal that amount of bikes.

In this situation what function does a camera  notification provide?

How do you have a million dollar shop like that without a commercial alarm system + guard dog, etc? I have to think with that budget I would have alarms that could be heard from the next county over. Of course it's hindsight and maybe I'm way off base making these assumptions.

Well, all I have to say is lessons learned....this explains it:

Well he was 50 feet away inside the house when it happened…so there’s that. But also you’d have footage of the thieves, know how many there were, what vehicle they were driving, etc. That seems obvious

Cameras don't do shit, you need to startle them when they enter the perimeter of your property.  There are motion sensor beams you can setup to create a perimeter that will trigger audio alarms and flood lights when they first step on your property.  This is your best chance at keeping them out.  If they are able to reach the structure without triggering anything they'll likely get in.  But nowadays you should always have an "arm stay" active so you'll be notified when someone opens a door or window at night.  This is the only chance of keeping them out if you have no perimeter alarms or a dog.

If he had any sort of deterrent he would have been woken up and ready with his Smith and Wesson, but he basically posted how vulnerable he is in the YouTube video above, so the thieves easily won the victory here.

I suggest you watch the YouTube video clip I posted above.  He showed all the thieves how easy it is to enter his property:

True, but I look at the gate as one thing and the house as another altogether. Definitely seems a little careless when you have a wife and kids inside and plenty of toys that attract thieves.

Also, the fact that your life is in danger if you decide to sell something online these days is pretty sad.

So you are okay with thieves coming on your property and hanging out on your porch as long as they don't enter your house?  The invasion starts at the property line, and once anyone steps foot on it they should be susceptible to deadly force if they are confronted and don't leave immediately, like they do in Texas.

But where I live, the governor promotes and encourages crime and home invasions so you really need to fend for your family.  And even then, you can't shoot an intruder in your house unless they are pointing a gun at you or coming at you with a knife.  Imagine that...absolutely f*cking pathetic.

Its like that time Weege did a walk n talk video starting from inside his house to walking outside his house past the address on it...then down the street to an intersection where it said the street names.

I never blame the victim but when you post a video saying you are leaving your property to go out of state with your whole family, its implied that no one will be around to guard your stuff. Post the video after you have returned.

Some van life Youtubers, in order not to be stalked will post videos of somewhere they have been days after they have left the area and are long gone.

This is horrible and I want to make clear I'm not victim blaming, just using this as an illustrative tool.

Marketplace is likely the culprit.

The gate video was incredibly careless but being that the thieves didn't time it for when they weren't home, and the bad actor demographic for targeted hits like this (multiple dudes, coordinated) - I doubt they watch his vlog, or they did after finding his name on FB Marketplace.

Security is everything with dirt bikes and guns.  Low online profile. Lights, cameras, gates, alarms with sirens, anything that triggers a response - you need layers, some physical security, some security theater, etc. It's a sad state of affairs.

Sell your bikes with a sign at the track, or trade them in.

Useless sadly.

"Items detected with you" in iphone settings or "tracker detect" with android.

Park the bikes somewhere for a few weeks/months while the batteries die, strip them/look for the tags with only a burner pre-paid android on you.  These weren't stolen by a moron methhead down the road. These were stolen by the same guys that will empty a dealership in 5 minutes and never get caught.

The cops aren't actually looking for these, nobody is going to help.

Of course I'm not good with that, but I don't think America should be a country where everyone needs to be behind locked gates. That's not practical and it's not the society we work for. In his position, yes he should also have a locked gate.

Yep, social media 101.

Even regular joes who are not in the spotlight are easily targeted because they are posting photos of themselves relaxing on a beach in Hawaii on vacation...meanwhile, the 20 local home invasion thieves just started salivating while logging onto satellite view to plan the best route of entry their homes.

For someone being in the spotlight, I'm sure moving forward Kailub will now be posting videos of his two German Shepards, his gnarly surveillance system, plethora of fire arms, and he'll be posting videos after he's returned home, instead of how to easily enter his front gate.

It's really sad we even have to consider all this, but it's where we are today as a Country.  IMO, if we did things right, it would be like the good old days when you could leave the bikes on the front lawn, leave the keys in the car, and leave your front door open with the screen at night for fresh air.  But we clearly don't do it right, and we just let it happen.

I agree with you 100%, but sadly this is where our Country is.  We are way too soft on crime.

The law enforcement in my state won't do shit unless someone got killed.  They do not care about stolen bikes, cars, etc.  It's just another paper slip to write up and hand to you for record, and then they move on to the next one.  I know people who have gotten hit hard with 6 figures worth of good stolen, and there is no follow up unless you hire your own private detective.

I don't think anyone believes we should have to live like that.

Yet, while you prosper, live well, act right and do the right things to have things others who don't prosper, live well or act right REALLY want and will do the wrong things - all the way up to hurting/killing you or your family to take from you: coupled with a justice system that protects entire classes of people in that second category...

You take a big gamble living how you believe we should, vs how you need to, in order to be safe and secure.

Agreed. What I meant was that a lot of people are in the typical suburban setup with no front gate, and security effectively begins at your dwelling. We can't have guns ready for everyone that steps over the sidewalk, there's still a level of trust we operate on in this society.

In the third world anyone with money has to gate themselves in. I think we flirt with that here too if you look at the California coast and security around some of the ritzy city buildings. Just saying we shouldn't be moving in that direction in a place like Florida which embraces more traditional American values.
