The best gloves I ever had were made by 661. They were called the "Nasty" glove and came out in the early 2000s. If I had know they would have changed them (and eventually quit making MX gloves), I would have bought many pairs.

FIVE gloves, MXF model is the absolute best glove made.  They might be hard to find in the US these days because both distributors that carried them are now out of business

I made the mistake of falling for the JT Racing ads on Facebook to grab some Camel Supercross throwbacks. Not John and Rita's. Some overseas outfit stealing their identity. The thumb seams split on both gloves on the first ride. Emails trying to get them to stand behind their products unanswered.

I bought a set of JT gloves a few years ago, and was actually impressed with the quality; very much in the style of heavier / thicker old school leather gloves. But perhaps things have changed.

You have to be careful with those social media ad buyers. Apparently the socials don't perform much due diligence on their advertisers. My conclusion is that the JT Racing USA outfit advertising on FB either just bought the identity from John and Rita (or stole it).

For reference, these are the gloves I bought. Pics look great and I was fired up to order them:

Lasted about an hour into a pretty mellow dual-sport, dirt roads ride. As I said, they never acknowledged my request to return.

I've been burned a couple of times when I didn't dig deep enough before ordering.

First real cool front blew in couple days back. Finally got out of the low 90’s, high 80’s here in Southeast Texas.  It was 48 at MX2.0 yesterday.  First day in a long time I didn’t wear Moose Sahara gear.  Wore O’Neal Element which is supposed to be vented but not all that much.  I know this, the O’Neal Element gloves I wore yesterday are quite a bit more durable than moose gloves I’ve been wearing.  I have some Fly Racing that seem to hold up pretty good too.

I purchased the "Vintage Racing Gloves" : https://jtracingusa.com/products/a-vintage-racing-glove . Main drawback was that the red dye in the palms turned my hands red after every ride.

I wear klim gear other than gloves/helmet.

They are pricey, but you get what you pay for.

They fit extremely well/tight.

The rubber on outside is nice for roost/tree limbs. Not a direct impact with your knuckles.

Had my original set for 2 years. 70-80 riding hours. No blown out tips of fingers or holes in palm.

Vet A rider.

Another nod for Asagi wear gloves. 30 years of riding and they're definitely my favorite. Fit me very well and im picky about fit.

I loved the JT Gloves that had the Plastic Armour on the back of the hand, down the fingers. Buggered if I can recall what they were called.

And, that you could glue on a little rubber Squeegee to  a forefinger - that was great for wiping a goggle lens when you ran out of / didn't have tear offs in Enduros / Sprints / GNCC type events.

I just can't relate to all the ultra thin gloves out now - I want Protection.

I now ride with the Mechanix Wear Impact gloves - I can get them at my local hardware store (only in Black), for great pricing, and, the main thing so many might not like about them - the Palm 'Heel' padding, doesn't bother me at all. I want Pinky and Back Of Hand Protection, above all.

Biggest problem I have, is that my Paws seem to sit between X Large  and XX Large (when you can find such a thing) so, things can be fun with new ones - I tend to run them - XLs - in, in the workshop and the garden for a few days, to stretch / bed them in, and, usually have to 'chase' a few seams (any type or brand of gloves) before I use them for riding.

Brings back memories of early eighties when I got a pair when I was in my teens. Thought that was cool back then

Anyone have recent experience with the Deft fam gloves? I recently saw a lil documentary on Nate Adams about how his business partners screwed him/he made some bad decisions having friends as business partners. I figured I would get some to try when my Astars wore out and to support a rider. He finally got rid of the bad partners. I do like the Astars though and they have lasted me 1-2 years.

I was going to post Deft. I've been in these for years and love them. Very comfy and good longevity. I tried to reorder a couple pair of my fave color way but they've been out of stock for a while. Hopefully he restocks and the business rebounds soon.
