Who wins?

Even RC said on his Title 24 podcast, he doesn’t think he  could beat Jett skill wise on a bike his only chance would be mentally

Jett wins. Jett is the best racer there has ever been.

Bummer I dont think we even got a real prime out of Roczen. Cut down at 23yrs old. Think about Jett being hurt next to year to where he was never the same again. Kenny was just putting all the pieces together

Jett, although if Bailey or JMB was on the list I might have a tougher choice

RC would solve the puzzle.  He did it literally every time.  As soon as someone became a threat, he overcame.  Speed, conditioning, it didn't matter.  It's like there was no end to how fast he could go...  If he needed to go faster, he simply did.

What dirt? What track? Which continent? This is the impossible question to answer but it is fun to consider. Put Jett on Hannah's ow250. Can he hop and skip around like he does on his 450? I'll tell you one thing I am sure of and that is if you put them all on factory 125's when they were 17 or 18, James Bubba Freakin Stewart waxes all of their asses!

For RV and Dunge on raw speed, I always go back to 2011 (I think) when Reedy had them both covered speed wise until the Chadapault.

Chad superfan here, but he never had anything for RC outdoors, Ricky was insanely fast and when it counted, could always beat Stew who we all say is the fastest ever to ride a dirt bike.

So I do believe the 2010-14 (or whatever that era was) was down on raw speed from RC & Stew

Bubbles SX speed  in 2008 was regarded as fastest ever seen (by reed and co)..........

If it was on a 250f on the right day,  peak RV would bulldog it to the win over anyone

Forgetting that one time the 259 jumped on a 250F?

Bullets ae faster than Jet(t)s, but nothing is faster than light.

All listed are the cream of the crop, to which I would add Hannah, Johnson and Bayle. Not to mention Stanton, who bulldogs a bike better than the best of them.

A pissed off 1978 Hannah beats anyone at any track.  The key is that he has to be pissed off.  Fun fact, when he was on the track racing, he was almost always pissed off.

Agreed on the evolution of riding . I was watching the 84 SX season review this morning on Gary Bailey's channel and it barely resembles what we see today , of course tracks have changed along with it . Those 84 tracks had smaller jumps for the most part but no flow , mostly flat or off camber turns, uneven whoops and the tracks got pretty rough . By the end of the 80s we were seeing larger gaps , triples and quad jumps .  But you watch someone like Carson Brown shred on those old bikes and you see how far technique has come , but to be fair many of those vids are on his backyard track . It would be interesting to see him on and 80s bike on an exact replica of one of those mid 80s tracks .

Anyway I'd say Jett wins followed closely by Herlings .

I also watch a shit ton of old moto and sx. RJ or Bailey on a 500 at Carlsbad would give any rider of any era a run for their money. Sx from the  early to mid 80s was strange.  Essentially an mx track packed into a stadium. Even the best riders from that era look the equivalent of a mid pack local pro from today. But I guarante  you they were hauling ass. Watch Daytona from 82. Darrel Schultz may look a bit goofy but check out his corner speed. Its phenomenal.

Man I don't know in SX but outdoors ricky was a beast and his win at all cost is second to none. When you straight up beat JS you was a bad mofo, when to europe and crushed everts also. Prime Herlings and RC outdoors  oh man what a battle.😱 I dont know much about the hannah, bayle, johndon etc days so can't say much there.

I've identified the fastest I believe I've seen. Feel free to go off board

Ask RC, Roczen,Herlings and RV - they'll tell you.

They'd all say themselves if you got them off record.

Just a couple questions.

What bikes are they on? Cause Jett's bike will out-start all the other relics 100% of the time....

What tracks? Jett is unbeatable at Pala...

Of course Ricky is gonna say that otherwise he’d come off as an asshole. The fact is that nobody is beating RC in an outdoors championship. Not now, not then, and maybe not ever. The guy is the goat for a reason. He would not accept losing to Jett, and would end up finding a way to dominate like always. Also Jett’s style of racing where he keeps 2nd place in striking distance would absolutely not work with Ricky.

Because he wasn't. The fastest James ever was was when he was pushing to beat Ricky.

Just like Ricky was the fastest he ever was when he was pushing to beat James, not when he had perfect seasons
