When Celsius first came out I used to love them. I only like the non-carbonated ones. Peach mango & rasberry acai & occasionally they have a watermelon non-carbonated too. Maybe a year ago I started just not feeling well after I drank them. Nauseous. Tired. Queasy maybe. Hard to explain. I have a theory that they’ve changed the formula since their inception & that’s when they started affecting me weird but not sure on that. Im a pretty healthy active individual & I’m sensitive to putting junk in my body.
idk man. I liked them a lot & drank a couple a week then all the sudden couldn’t drink them anymore.
Serious question as I am not a purest as I have drank lots of alcohol and coffee...but I have NEVER...EVER...had an "energy drink".
Are they that much better then getting a super big gulp at 7-11 of Pepsi?
Some are much worse than a giant soda which is also awful for you. Monster, RedBull etc. Some have cleaner ingredients and are theoretically better for you (Celsius, Amino Energy, Ghost), but not all created equal. The largest difference is the amount of caffeine is 3-4 times more than a soda and they also have other stimulants like Taurine etc.
One of these days in the not so distance future we’re going to look back on “energy drinks” the same way we look back on pushing cigarettes to kids, this isn’t going to age well at all. . .

Or maybe we will look back on them like pushing cocaine water to kids: quintessentially American and as wholesome as Apple Pie.
Do people still drink a lot of energy drinks? I drink one every now and then. Coffee on the other hand…
In Australia alot of us drink an energy drink called V. you don't see much sponsorship with it etc. But at least where i live everyone drinks it.
I drink roughly 6-1200mg of caffeine daily. While the celcius wernt super strong they didnt make me feel great. I probably drank 50+ over time and they made me kind of crash out. Almost the opposite effect of what its supposed to do. Ive been drinking ghost, c4, and rule1. The rule1 is probably the best for actual energy and easy on the stomach. It will make you tingle if you're not use to it. It's also the cheapest. So yeah something is up with the Celsius. Its hard on my stomach and makes me tired.
Take your facts and get the hell out of here Dude! "WE" don't like your kind around here...
I had the exact same experience with them
I would say this is similar to how I felt.
1200 mg of caffeine daily? Are you ok?
No lol. I was always a big caffeine guy. Would drink a pot of black coffee every morning before school at 14. Energy drinks and such are just more convenient. I quit all of it for a while and a soda would jolt me. Been back at it now for years. My friends have multiple different nick names for me based off energy drink brands.
I bought a position in it. Tasted great thus far. Got it @ about $25.... Holding for $99.
That's the same experience I had with them.
Monster Energy sponsors teams, events and professional athletes across the globe.

They recently signed a multi year deal with SMX to be the title sponsor of the series through 2030.
About everyone where I work drinks Celsius. I haven not tried one as I'm not a huge consumer of energy drinks anymore. If I do drink one it's always Red bull.
FYI
"Cyanocobalamin is not made from sewage; it is industrially produced through microbial fermentation, a common misconception arises because bacteria in sewage produce vitamin B12. The modern process involves culturing specific bacteria, such as Propionibacterium shermanii or Pseudomonas denitrificans, in fermentation tanks to create vitamin B12. The vitamin is then extracted, purified, and converted to cyanocobalamin."
Pit Row
Yes, this.
Now systems may be used to extract the B12 that are similar to processes in Wastewater treatment like Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) the raw materials they use for energy drinks is NOT sewage.
You guys and your scientific facts, pffttt....
Same here, I drink 1-2 black cups of coffee a day. But if I’m on a long deive or it’s night , and I’m trying to stay up a usually have a monster. But it’s very seldom, I try not to put too many chemicals in my body.
I drink bang religiously and I will tell you 160 mg from a “normal” energy drink is about all you want to drink before riding especially if you struggle with arm pump. No caffeine is even better.
I just watched an old Tosh.0 episode earlier this week where that lady was on lmao.

“Bottoms up, and the devil laughs”
A few years ago I got one of my old friends to come home from college for a weekend to go race a hare scramble on an extra bike for the first time in years. He was worried about being out of shape and blowing his wad early on so he pounded a purple haze bang as we’re gearing up. Didn’t even get a lap in before he had to pull off and go back to camp because his arms were on fire.
I don’t have your fortitude. I bought a handful of CELH last year at $27 and it immediately cratered. I got out a couple of months later at $30. Now it’s double that.
A good rule of thumb is if someone tosses in "do your own research" they are probably listening to an uneducated influencer who didn't finish high school yet puts out content on poisons in food with the screen name of "healthymomagainstevilscience". 😁
Idk if I believe they cause arm pump. Last month I rode for the first time in over 7 years. It was on a rough deep rutted track my friend uses to train for lorettas. Like I posted earlier I drink the shit out of this stuff. I finished my 2nd ghost for the day pulling in, I drank 2 rule 1 earlier in the day. Rode a 30 for the first moto 10 minute break then did a 18. Never got any kind of pump, I wasn't trying to break any speed records but I was moving at a good pace. Now later that night and the rest of the week was a different story. I had to double brace my ankle to even sleep and my delts were on fire for a week.
It depends on the formula/specific drink. Caffeine is a vasoconstrictor but they likely put things that are vasodilators in the same drinks to increase blood flow and to make you feel jacked up
Yeah, must be super uneducated for questioning an unregulated supplement.
"Trust the experts" always works out so well, though.
Yes the rule 1 and c4 I drink contain that stuff. But I think it's more of the person is out of shape, bad form, or not breathing.
Post a reply to: Is Celsius Energy Drink in moto anywhere? Ambassadors? Teams? Interesting NYTs article on them today
