Jett ignored Gautier Paulin on the podium

Does anyone know if there's a beef between them? Jett simply pretended he didn't exist on the podium.

Well it’s not that the coach made a big difference, maybe it’s just respect to each other as riders. That’s it.. don’t need to shake everyone’s hand

Maybe it didn’t register with Jett who he was. Anyone else remember that awkward interaction between Hunter and Ricky Johnson last year? It’s not always malicious.

Not to say it was malicious at all, but it seems pretty unlikely Jett would not know who he is, given that Paulin was still a top 450 guy and MXON winner during the Lawrences' time in Europe.

The Lawrences lived in France.  Hunter speaks a fair bit of French from that time.  They have numerous ties to the French MX world.  Paulin is a French MX legend having been a key member of the 5 straight French MXON victories from 2014-2018, while the Lawrences were in Europe.  I am a redneck in AZ and I know all this.  Maybe he didn't recognize him in his Team France manager shirt, but it seems pretty unlikely.

At least we have WSX (between 1 and 6 races I guess lol), Paris and AUSX, not too bad.

I didn't say Jett didn't know who he was, I said it's likely it didn't register (based of Kaidodragon's post, that seems to be the case). I'm not making excuses for the kid, but he just got done winning what is easily the biggest race of the year, crowd wise, and literally had thousands of hands reaching out for a high five or handshake. When you're talking those kinds of numbers, not everyone's going to be acknowledged, and in this case, it just happened to be a guy who's well known in the paddock. No harm, no foul.
