Man, they love to stretch it don't they? Just an honest guy who got bullied by the big mean factories. But he's fighting back!

This sounds pretty awesome if it works out. Isn't this what we wish they'd all do? This is the modern day equivalent of turning up in your 'box van'. Good for him. Now Pourcels turn! ha.

When they say the bike will be Frankenstein, they mean it's a Honda with no factory backing. AKA we don't want to give Honda credit when they aren't doing anything for us. Pro Circuit will handle the modifications, I would guess.

"Arguably the greatest Supercross rider in history"

The validity of the entire article went out the window with that dumbass statement!

I'd sat MC, RC and JBS are all better SX riders than Reed.

Other than that, I think it's good to see someone thinking outside the box.

For some reason I think the reporter read to much into his statements, as if he's bolting a Yamaha engine into a Honda frame or something. Anaheim is only eight weeks away- he doesn't have time to build some kind of Frank-O-bike.

I'd have to say reed deffinetly is one of the top supercross riders ever hes 3rd on the all time wins list.. and he's beaten ricky straight up he could defiinetly be put in the top 5 arguably one of the top riders is a correct statement..

I think they're blowing the "Frankenstein bike" thing out of proportion. I would imagine it will just be a Honda with Showa suspension and PC goodies.
Good point!

EXACTLY!

Speaking of that, do you guys remember that old motocross movie where a guy had his bikes set a fire by his main rival, and he had to borrow parts from all his buddies to make a custom bike for the last race? Kinda funny but i liked it when i was a kid...oh and what about dirt bike kid?!! lol

And if he did build it, most likely it wouldn't be legal to race.

Yeah, and he's also been racing SX longer. BTW, howm any championships has Reed beaten RC or JBS for when they all contested the entire season? That's right...NONE!! Championships are what people remember, race wins will are great but championships are what all racers race for!

Reed NEVER beat Ricky for a CHAMPIONSHIP! Nor has he beaten JBS for a SX Championship. That's why I would rank him behind MC (the best SX racer EVER), then RC, then JBS, then I'd put Reed right there with Ricky Johnson, or Jeff Stanton.

Is there any common sense here on this board?

I understand, that everyone has their own opinion, and a lot of post on this board is just fun and games. But honestly, is there any common sense, or logic on this board?

Reed has made the decision to race on his own nickel, if need be. How much more of a commitment to the sport could you ask for?

IMPO, this is really good for the sport that we all love.

I think he is trying to win! So no 2 stroke. But you can take yours to the local track and try to win.

If he can pull it together you know the effort will be all class. With the AUD at parity with the USD its perfect timing for some aussie dollars going to the US.
