Thank you for the responses, fellas!
It was already a tragedy not having Jeffrey there, I’d hate to see Kay and Calvin not to be able to ride.
I remember when Netherlands made it on the podium with only two riders in 2018 when Vlaanderen got a rock to his eye in moto one and had to DNF. Coldenhoff and Herlings were unbeatable that day.
Jett and Hunter are stronger this year, especially Hunter, as it is expected they will finish 1, 1, 1 and 2. Last year Hunter went 8th and 4th, which was in line with expectations.
Really hoping Japan put in good rides, it’s hard not to root for Jo 👍

For the visitors Everts surprised me, he seemed to improve as the day went on more than anyone pulling back on RJ, Valaandren too moving forward in the first half of the Moto in traffic and not helped by lappers, afterall he was considered the one Herlings would have been in for, Laengenfelder disappointed though, he should really be running with those at the front of that MX2 race, he even led at one point
Can't see past an Oz demolition job tbh with the US comfortably runners up due to JC getting his trademark starts, Eli will be better today too and RJ solid as always, while Belgium are probably the dark horse
Here's Glen prang - not sure if it's been put in here yet:
Vision of back down the track , before than corner / jump is obstructed by that camera(?) cage, so, perhaps I'm wrongly assuming that there was no Flagger station there, but, FFS, if there wasn't!
Not that it matters much but they won't necessarily finish 20th, if another team's rider doesn't start.
2015 in Ernee when Anstie broke his vertebra in quali, GB still finished 18th because Latvia and Japan also only started with 2 riders but scored worse.
Last year the US lost by 3 points to Australia. RJ is pretty equal or slightly better than AP, J Coop a big upgrade over Webb. Tomac will lock in today. I see no reason why the US is not a co favorite with Australia IMO
I completely agree with everything you said, I was thinking the exact same thing (seems nobody’s talking about Everts on the 450). Only thing to add, Jo was massively impressive coming up to 2nd on the 450.
Sitting on the hill here now 👍
Completely the flaggers fault. After the crash I saw someone come over and say something to him. If I had to guess, they had a little talk about doing his job properly.
Poor Glenn. Not even his own mistake
Omg. The lapper just fell off his bike or what?
Must be a great experience being able to race this event but there's no way in hell I'd want to be on the same track as these top guys.
Poor Glenn. He wanted to put in a performance to maybe land a ride stateside for 2026
USA is improved, yes... But so is AUS. By that I mean the team is simply performing better than last year. Barring the absurdity that MXoN often brings, Gajser (I'm a big fan) isn't beating Jett this year and Hunter isn't getting an 8th... The Hunter brothers are so consistent off the line, it's seem highly unlikely that either of them put up a score worse than a 3, maybe a 4 if Hunter doesn't get a great start.
We have a race today, and it can still be won by probably 4 different teams with AUS the favorite and USA and BEL there to battle for 2nd. France could sneak in if USA or BEL falters. That's the race on paper... But we actually race on dirt and so many things can and often do happen at MXoN.
Herlings just boarded the concord…..word is he riding prados kawasaki…..
Mechanical took him out of the race.
After the AMA Motocross and SMX seasons…
I don’t know how to expect anything but a Lawrence win in their perspective motos and a Lawrence 1-2 when they race together. Outside of that, with a little bit of luck…& a really strong performance by J-Coop…we could win…maybe.
I’m not bothered by a Lawrence-Aussie win. Hell, they’re “our guys” during the year and they get to race for their home country once a year…and that’s pretty damn cool.
Then there’s Japan…and I’m not jus’ talkin’ about Jo…they’re kicking ass.
This is gonna be awesome race on an awesome track.
Good luck to all.
