He had a one year guaranteed deal with a second year team option and the team opted out of the second year. Wouldn’t make sense for them to opt out and then re-sign him again. 

Yes, he annoyed the team by going MIA and not communicating while injured.

The engine guy made a comment basically confirming he's leaving, this is the same engine guy that said what he said to prado.(I've met the engine guy before)
