Was at one of the "local" tracks here this last week. There were three Triumphs on the track. One of the three had a very distinct whistle noise, similar to a turbo whine. I could hear it halfway around the track from the pits.

The whine seems to have subsided a bit with mine compared to when it was brand new. Though I only have 6.3 hours on the bike at this point.

Yeah I also had a bit of a whine in the beginning. I dont hear it anymore and im not sure if its cuz it went away or because the Bills system is so much gruntier.

Seems to be a transmission or shift issue. Met quite a few people who are finding alot of metal on the plug and getting alot of missed shifts from 2nd-3rd. If your getting those take it to your dealer to be corrected. Its a known issue now apparently. Once I get an answer for one of my guys 450s I'll post it here.

450s have the issue, 250s don’t. One user on the TF Facebook group tore his down and found the issue. He says he’s been in contact with triumph regarding it through the whole process. They’re getting him a new engine, and he says they make it sound like there will be a recall in place

Haven’t noticed any metal shavings or anything weird in my oil. And no shifting issues. But again, only 6.3 hours and three oil changes.

I've just gone past 10hrs on my TF450. Not too much metal in the first few oil changes up to 5hrs but alot of crap. Dropped it at 10hrs and was alot more metal shavings than I'm comfortable with. I'm not getting many missed shifts but it is definitely very tight to shift.

If that's the real color how did they fuck up the website photos that badly? 😂

Edit: also looks like only the full kit comes with green fork guards but it says out of stock. Think I'd go green everything but front plate and air box cover.

Brown plates and fork guards 🤌, gold accents on the number graphics and maybe a small streak of teal on the shrouds

I don't know why this is the only color combination that gets me all starry eyed... but it does.

Has anyone found an aftermarket ecu solution?

Has anyone found an aftermarket ecu solution?

GET ECU with mapping by VPE Racing is all I can see so far. I reached out to them and they say it retains all OEM switches ad rider features (as its just swapping an OEM GET for aftermarket GET)

I did reach out to Twisted shortly after I posted. Looks like they have some stuff in the works. IMG 4751

Anyone on here have any excess metal on the drain plug at “higher” hours. Just changed my oil and the drain plug was covered. Bike has 20 hours on it and oil was in for 3 hours. Clutch and everything looked to be in great shape. IMG 5026 0IMG 5025 2.jpeg?VersionId=2ZJSxfaRl

Have you had the clutch recall done? And or the new clutch hub tab installed?  Id save that sample and get it tested.

Don’t have any of those symptom's yet, I’ll keep an eye on it though. It’s a 2025 still on stock clutch.

Looking at a leftover 24 TF250 for 6500 seems like a great deal. other than the mapping update,What other recalls should I ask about whether or not they have been done?

Any particular reason not to pull the trigger… I  new bike fever

Start/stop switch and ride assist cluster. Clutch recalls.

If it’s at a dealer they’re SUPPOSED to do the recalls before they leave the dealer floor

Your post clearly says metal on the plug...which is exactly the same as the quote I posted...

I meant symptoms as far as misshifts or false neutrals.

I am only up to 11 hours, but so far the bike has been great. I’ve hit false neutral twice that were my fault, but it’s possible to do. No metal shavings in the oil that I’ve found. Otherwise the bike is a lot of fun. Handles great, power is good and the bike is smooth.

If the transmission fix is a different shift star and detect that would be real nice and easy.
