It’s interesting to see that some people are totally blind to the fact that he is a highly payed professional athlete that has grown up with a camera pointed at his face since he was a kid.
They seem to look at it as he is a regular teenager from the neighborhood and justifies his actions through that.
If you are a child star and a professional athlete, you will have been media trained, and while you get payed millions of dollars to represent a brand, there comes a responsibility to act professional to. But once again, some people really struggles to string those parts together and are fine with the family acting out.
If you were to place blame on what happened other than Deegan. IMO it would rest squarely on the shoulders of Levi. Let’s be honest , the championship was a wrap, had Levi not intentionally sought out Deegan and ruined his race and ultimately the championship. I like Jo , but he wasn’t going to win the championship. Don’t get me wrong , I’m in no way defending Deegan and how he rode that second moto. Definitely a low brow ride to say the least. He obviously didn’t get the “Be classy” talk form anyone on his team and most disappointing ,from his parents.

It showed that Levi let Deegan get under his skin and took it to the track. All that talk needs to be left right where it took place, not on the track. I think from that perspective, it was a loss for Levi in terms of the character he showed in this instance.
Going by your logic we can also say Deegan doesn’t win the first SMX championship if Hunter doesn’t hurt his back. Hunter was the faster guy. I would place the blame on whoever made the decision not to run a folding brake lever.
