What methods have you found that work best to keep spokes clean? Maybe its just me but theres nothing better than a fresh bike when the spokes still have that factory shine, honda seems to do it best but ive always found that after about the 20 hour mark the are pretty dull and loose that shine. Might sound silly to some but im anal about a clean bike and this is one area that im slacking as bikes get older. Ive tried never dull but its doesnt seem to work that great and is quite a bit of work.

I imagine Mothers mag and aluminum polish will shine them back up if it really bothers you.
Spoke Skins are what you’re looking for. You’ll be the coolest guy at the track.
Is Green Shirt the new guy or the Team Leader?

When I got my 98 new, I tried everything and they still got almost gray, I use to put never dull, then eventually got to steel wool, nothing worked for me
Safety wire guy
Not sure what it was called 20 years ago when I found out about it but similar product. Works.

Staying away from Simple Green on them helps a lot.
This guy is obviously frustrated with his attempt to properly torque his swingarm/fork/chain/rotor mount.
OP- It gets tougher over time as they get sandblasted. The correct answer probably includes elbow grease and taking a rag/polish to physically rub/wipe all of them. Also, you can prolong things by washing the spokes with a mitt/sponge after riding rather than just spraying them down with water.
This post made for a fun flash back. In the early 70's there were two magazine columnists who would joust back and forth - vaguely recall it being Super Hunky Rick Sieman and Pete Szilagyi (one of the greats and first editor of MXA when it spun off from Dirt Bike). At some point one said to the other "wax my spokes." A buddy of mine, a better rider than I, would taunt me with that. One day we were some other friends out on a trail and he had an issue, and asked me for some tools. What he got was "wax my spokes."
Pledge (or Dollar Store "Furniture Polish" ).
Spin the wheel, fine mist spray the the whole wheel, rim and all. Wipe everything off with clean towel. Removes oxidation, leaves them shiny! Works great on aluminum frames, silencers, frame guards, even shines up the plastic nicely. Wise man's SC1
(SOS pad occasionally if they get real dirty, or they're badly grungy to start with)
2 wheel drive?
That actually hurt my brain.
You are not alone. I use Mothers once they start to dull. Its a sickness…
After each ride when I have finished cleaning my bike, I will spray the rim and nipples with WD40 while spinning the wheel. Make sure to spray away from the disc. Then I caefully spray a little WD where the spokes enter the hub along with the sprocket nuts. Let it soak a bit then wipe her down. You can do the whole bike like this just keep it off your discs and pads.
Soak with WD40 and use steel wool if needed.

I cannot get people to understand this. wd40 the whole damn bike. Specifically the coil mounts to the frame. Corrosion in there causes all sorts of mystery issues. I blow my bike off with air compressor air, then wd the whole thing. Wipe down excess.
Yep, I have been using WD on the entire bike for 40+ years.👍
I'll have to try this.
Buy a new bike. Makes everything come up spotless 100% everytime.
If you have the cash re lace them with some polished stainless steel ones from Buchanan's Spoke and Rim,Inc...
