do we think the continuous rear shock issues the team has been dealing with contributed to this crash. because as far as i know hes the only one to crash in that section

DAMN! It's amazing for him not to be any more seriously injured from that absolute head plant than he was!

I truly believe his strength training with Peter Park is what saved him! That was an instant stop on Las Vegas concrete like hard pack it would have taken out most any other riders that don't strength train!

I hope we get something real as to the cause of this crash

He had a lot of tough hits since he went to the 450 and it somehow always only ends up with either his shoulder, being banged up or a concussion. That dude is built different. Though he had like what, 3-4 concussions now in 3 years? That's super scary. Hoping it's not too bad this time and he takes proper time to heal.

It's mind boggling, we all know Chase could absolutely be at least the 2nd best guy in every championship he enters, I hope he feels mentally better on the Kawi and he stays off the ground more, we totally need this dude out there.

Yikes…that’s worse than I had imagined. Heal up Chase.

Holy crap. he turned into it and appeared to take the brunt of it with his shoulder.

Yep.  In my basketball playing days, I was dealing with a lot of ankle sprains.  The trainer put me on a program to strengthen muscles that would stabilize my ankles, combined with lots of stretching.  What really surprised me was how much stronger and more stable my legs and knees became while riding.  A good trainer is priceless!  (And returning to regular workouts/stretching as an older adult is by far the best body/mind therapy I've found..., outside of riding.)

When were his 3-4 concussions? Does anybody remember any specific ones.

Ironman he jumped right up. Didn’t seem concussed he was trying to get going asap. Pala maybe rang his bell but definitely didn’t seem like he got a concussion. He got right up & rode the bike off.

Last big crash I can think of that I would say he had a concussion was his last race on a Honda at Vegas 2 years ago.

Shortly after the crash, the 2 KTM guys who were filming from the stands a few rows behind us, got up an left with their cameras.  I'm positive it is on their cameras, but we will never see it.

For sure he got one in '23 in the week preceding Pala at practice. A good one, too, as he didnt make it back until Red Bud. Pala this year seemed like a concussion. He's taken quite a few hits to the head

Crazy that there's only 1 angle/2 videos of this. And like others have said, the lack of a statement from anyone, including the team, allows speculation to run rife on the cause - and its easy to target the rear shock but was it bike or rider? If it was shock related, surely there were signs earlier?

Just because someone isn't knocked out, doesn't mean they aren't concussed...

In the same line of thinking, just because someone crashed doesn’t mean they got a concussion?

Yeah I mean 2023 Pala I do remember he was out for a while after that so I’ll give you that one. Also is 2 1/2 years ago so that’s quite a while. Pala this year I just went & re-watched, also did some digging & don’t see anything that tells me it was a concussion. Gonna disagree with you on that one being a concussion.

I’m just saying I can’t remember anytime Chase has been on concussion protocol with KTM.

Correct. I didn't imply that a crash equals a concussion, while you did imply that -> since he got right up off the bike, he must not have a concussion.

All that we as fans have to work with, as far as injury diagnosis, is what the rider or the team gives us. If Chase/Team says that chase has a concussion, we have to assume that he has a diagnosed concussion, and anything more is speculation. Speculation is useless.

Do you think his crash was Chase being Chase or bike related malfunction
