What do we think?
Could go on and on, but here are some of my quick thoughts…
Deegan proved even when there is a glimmer of hope that he settled down, he showed he is still an idiot.
Jo and Hammaker are rolling into 2026 strong.
Vialle, are you staying or going?
Too many red flags.
Jett isn’t human.
Hunter is going to be hungry in 2026.
RJ, impressive 450 rides.
Prado…enough said.
Sexton…I don’t even know what to say.
Looking forward to the guys switching teams for 2026!
I'm seriously considering cancelling my Peacock subscription because... 1. The broadcasts are terrible, announcing is awful, timing and scoring is ridiculous. I wish I could just pay for Race Day Live! 2. The tracks in all 3 disciplines suck. 3. Ban the scoop tire. 4. it's just cheaper to listen to podcasts and read Racer X.
2025 had plenty of ups and downs challenges along the way. Jett at the 1st outdoor was inspiring.
It wasn’t a 1 rider wins everything and boring season.
I don't really see why there is such a negative stance towards racing nowadays. We can literally watch races live for both prestigious series.
- MXGP live works great (for me), we can see everything (time practice, support classes) directly from all over the world.
- I've watched all AMA races this year. Some on replay mode, some live, never had any issues. Yes, the broadcast could have been better. Yes, I sometimes had some issues listening to some announcers. Yes, some tracks could have been better. But we've seen some awesome racing in all classes, seen some surprising winners and we have more information than ever before right in front of us.
What do you want to see more?
Disappointing season to say the least. Seems like everything went wrong for everyone except two guys.

My one big takeaway is that between SX, MX, and SMX... The season is too long without enough breaks built in to allow these guys to stay healthy. We are seeing too many of these guys "sick" for various reasons and on-going, lingering "illness" that ends with them not finishing the season.
I suspect, as has been stated before by others that these guys are simply wearing out. It might be time to explore a 2 week on, one week off or similar format with built in recovery time and mandatory off/down time simply to allow the body to recover effectively.
Sure, less races means less $$$... But perhaps they could supplement with a secondary series for WMX, 125, E bikes, or similar and create more opportunities for racers.
Just thinking out loud.
SMX needs a serious fix. Where the races are being held doesn't work. If SMX is supposed to be a combo of MX and SX why can't they hold the races at modified outdoor tracks? Just add some SX obstacles. Perhaps because it is later in the season we could have one in the southeast, one in Texas?
Imagine complaining about being able to watch all the races and qualifying live. Man, what a terrible time to be a fan
What a year off the track.
since the year is over, will we finally get a proper JA21 update?
Key takeaways:
Jett proved without a doubt he’s never riding at 100% of his speed capability.
Even though Eli is still elite and extremely fast, his results are suffering because of his age.
Hunter took another step and will likely be even faster in 2026.
KTM is not in a good spot with the bike.
Seth and Jo, two of the more likable guys in either class, have established themselves as the favorites for 2026.
Deegan is fast but is still getting beat straight up by guys like Shimoda, Hymas, Juju, and Davies both indoors and out. He also proved again, multiple times, who he is as a person through his actions.
Feld needs to find a way to get rid of the ruts on big jumps and rhythm sections. Whoops and dragon backs aren’t the issue.
Jett - cracks are showing in the armor
Hunta - Geezuss dood fast AFFF now days
Eli- it's a wrap boyz
El Hombre - been a wild ride!
Chase - those dern goggles!!
Webb - One last title for the road
Joe - Showed he's better than Deegs
Deegs - It's all heel from here
2025 in a nutshell
I'm befuddled, why would you be willing to pay to watch qualifying but not the races?
Because it would free up time by just watching the holeshot, and who won the race. I won't have to watch the terrible race broadcast. I can't do it anymore. Showing me "points as they run" 30 seconds into the race is ridiculous. And anyone who thinks the race broadcasts are good is fooling themselves.
Lots of great racing and tons of drama, what is there not to like??
I'm wondering the same thing. It's not like RDL catches many of the fast qualifying laps. Storytime people can get from podcasts.
The latest w/ some “firming up” from those that seem to know what’s goin’ on…
Took A LOT of time off, as was necessary, to get healthy…as we’ve all heard and read.
HEP Zook for 2026
New Training Program and locale for 2026
That’s all that’s out there at the moment. In most cases, 2025 isn’t over ‘til October and even later for a few riders/contracts.
I believe…I think…we’ll get “official announcements” in October.
So, what do you like?🤣
Who are those two?
JL18 - didn't win everything
Deegs - didn't win everything.
SX had an awesome story with Webb winning his 3rd title.
one coast of 250 SX was highly unpredictable. Deegs made the other coast look routine.
SMX...went down the wire in both classes. Not sure what would have to happen to not be disappointing to you.
Pit Row
Commercial free LIVE coverage of qualifying and every moto for 8 bucks a month. I'll admit I'd love for AC and/or JB to take over the commentary role from Ricky and James but otherwise motocross currently has the best bang for buck TV coverage of any sport in the world and it's not particularly close. Football fans pay almost $500 a year on top of cable or streaming for NFL Sunday Ticket/Red Zone and get the same horrible State Farm commercials rammed down their throats every 2 minutes. A little perspective.
Not to derail, but is it really that expensive to watch the footsball?
I love all the available coverage
Jett is amazing, really incredible...
Eli looked rough on the Yamaha to me, especially outdoors. Looking forward to seeing him on orange.
Honda has their program dialed
I like SMX. Needs some refinement but the framework for the best series in the world is there.
You seem like a fun guy to be around. First comment and its a whine fest...
why do you care? just downvote snowflake.
I'll just assume you are referring to Jett and deegan?
If so are you forgetting that Jett was out for most of SX with a torn ACL?
Honda
Yamaha
Kawasaki
Suzuki
KTM
Husqvarna
GasGas
Beta
Triumph
Ducati
Ten brands in the paddock…yes, Ducati was “part time”…but, they were out there racing and there’s more to come. I don’t know that we’ll see GasGas back as a factory team next year…so, that’s kind of a bummer. Sounds like Suzuki is becoming more involved in MX/SX racing in the U.S. NICE!
It seems like support teams like Club, Quad Lock, Tedder and others are all doing well. Very happy about that.
Even-though I’m a TLD guy, I was impressed by how much FXR contributed to MX/SX teams and riders this year. Great company and great people…yes, I’m talking about you Andy…you crazy Canuck! Thanks for bringing so much to the game & good luck next year!
So many changes in regards to “Who’s riding what” next year:
Chase going green.
Bam Bam staying red. But, a different red.
El Hombré going home to the brand he “went pro” on.
Eli on a KTM. Wow. That’s a change.
Rockstar going back to being just Husqvarna (both rigs become HSQ like they were).
Maybe we’ll see Beta at more Nationals?
Triumph will bring the 450 out to play…maybe a 2nd rider…?
Isn’t Ferrandis supposed to be on Ducati?
Who’s the 2nd Kawasaki rider? That should be a pleasant surprise.
Ducati 250 riders?
Are we going to see a Beta 250?
There’s a lot of cool stuff on the horizon.
To me the value of a rider competing in the entire series has been some what downplayed. Most riders rode indoors or outdoors depending on their . injuries. I value outdoors, but others prefer the SX racing. OF the top 10 450 riders, I think only Justin Cooper raced both series. The gimmickry of the SMX three race "playoff" only netted him a 5th overall. Make every race have the same points value, count them all and he who has the most points wins.
I'm just bummed about a couple small things:
Kenny derailing his chain which pretty much put an end to his title dream..
Jett and Tomac getting injured was really sad, what they showed at San Diego I was convinced it would have been between those two this year.
Then probably (and I think most did) having too high hopes for this years MX season. I thought we would get the best season ever potentially with Jett, Tomac, Prado, Sexton and Hunter. But then Tomac overall not really up to pace compared to the hunter brothers, Sexton either winning or crashing, nothing in between and Prado.. Yeah we all know how it went with Prado.
One of the tings I was really happy about was Jett not getting his starts like he did in 2023. Him coming through the field was an absolute treat to watch, specially RedBud (probably my favorite race this year).
Overall though as always still the best sport to watch no matter what and I'm ALWAYS looking forward to the next season!
One solution to the hard-to-listen-to broadcasts has been to watch the races live ( & for free ) on the Spanish language YouTube channel.
It's more enjoyable watching the races without all the chatter filling every second, endlessly.
Here's the whole SX season ; https://www.youtube.com/@deportes/search?query=supercross
& the MX season ; https://www.youtube.com/@deportes/search?query=motocross
It doesn't have to be, you could just do YouTubeTV or Hulu Live TV for $83-$90/month and get whatever game happens to be on your local station but for a comparable coverage, yea it's obscene. And even at $83 that's way more money for way less coverage. We have it so good right now with moto broadcasts.
Why do I care? lol. I don't. You are the one complaining about a tv show. I come here to read about moto, and it feels like I'm tuning into The View. So thanks for ruining that.
Also, don't you think that's a bit ironic to tell me to "downvote" your post AND call me a snowflake in one sentence? I felt like giving you more info than that.
Keep on being miserable...
