Unless it has just happened, they don’t.
They have looked at two subjects but  ruled hnem out, although the first one is being held for obstruction.

They don't. The person they did have in custody has been released. Obviously not the guy.....

He did.  Twice.  Both of them have now been released.  You read it correctly.

Maybe not. But it gives me hope he won't let this be a story that's shuffled away by next week.

Brutal that they haven't found the shooter. Security at this thing sounded like it was nowhere near par - and it's sad that it takes a small army to protect someone who has the courage to speak.

One would think that a college campus would have cameras. But either way that was a precise shot, he was moving, the shooter was 400 roughly out and hit him in a vital area, done by someone who knew what they were doing.

I was wrong. He’s still at large. News reports are saying it looks like a professional hit, and are not confident that he will be captured.

Saying "we got him!" one minute, then "wait, wrong guy" the next is not a good look. If they feel they have to put info out with every arrest, just say "we have a person of interest in custody." "Suspect" is way too final in modern language.

Wow the video of the old man in custody, did he do that intentionally to give the shooter time to get away? Fucking nuts that this happens all the time.

There's nothing professional about this..... typical speculation from people who know nothing..... not a terribly difficult shot.... target sitting still, shooter probably prone with bipod.... ended up a little low from the head shot he was going for..... me and half my friends can make that shot without much trouble.....

Sorry for pointing out true things like there's nothing about the shot that indicates it was a professional hit.........................

Not necessarily "professional" but they did it in 1 shot and got away. No some idiot spraying bullets in a crowd.

All I'm saying is this doesn't have to be someone with some kind of specialized training.... millions of people in this country have the ability to do this..... not a terribly difficult shot..... take it and run...... it's not rocket surgery......

They had a plan that worked and so far made the FBI look like clowns.

Whenever I see someone passing in the news I think "that's sad." But this one hits different, I'm really shaken and disturbed.

Conspiracies going wild.

Old man is in on it. Apparently had a pellet gun.

Guy asking the question before he got shot is somehow in on it because he asked a question about trans shooters/mass shootings.

Guy in the back of Charlie in a white ball cap touched his hat and nose, so he gave the signal to go ahead.

Israel are the one's who killed him.

A private plane left the Provo airport an hour after the shooting, turned off its transponder after crossing State lines. Shooter had to be on it. Plane headed back to Provo an hour after.

Man, I was never really a Charlie Kirk fan but for some reason this hit me really hard today, just all of it.  Between countless people sending me a video that I still refuse to watch, to the media immediately trying to spin the story with no regard for facts or responsible journalism, and of course the people who are so fucked in the head that they truly believe something like this is an acceptable fate for someone they disagree with.  I swear every day I wake up and just feel more and more disconnected from the world we live in, something just feels off and it has for a long time now.

That last sentence is exactly how I feel about it. This, the incredible sad murder in the train on the Ukranian girl, it was a hard week following world news. I barely watch the non-moto side of this forum, as dirtbikes keep me away from daily distractions and division we as humans face. Politics are a complicated topic, which I avoid to discuss for multiple reasons, as a lot of people nowadays are unbelievable unreasonable towards each other if they disagree. Europe is getting worse as well..

I'm just glad that I have a hobby (dirtbikes) that keeps me away from a lot of the crap going on in this world. Even though some members on here make me sigh at times with their negativity😅

Hateful partisan political rhetoric is the root of most of what is wrong with this world today. There are 'unstable' people in all segments of society.  The rhetoric can trigger those on either side no matter which side it comes from. Those who continue to spew are a major part of the problem. Sadder even that it is also prevalent on this forum, from some.

It's a sad day. Equally sad, is the feeling I get that all hell's about to break loose.

Very sad. sadly this won’t be the last one. The rhetoric, values, teachings, culture, media are all encouraging this.

How do we fix the United States, or do we just eventually destroy ourselves? Our "leaders" over the last few decades have led us here. Do we continue to trust in the process or do we have to finally stand up to all of the "leaders" and say enough is enough. This can be a partisan revolution but the partisanship has to be the citizens of the United States versus the corrupt government. Unfortunately they've found ways to severely divide us in areas where there are very small areas of middle ground. Most people see the biggest divisional issues as either right or wrong, left or right, black or white nothing in between. That is what my perception of Charlie Kirk meant, citizens coming together to actually talk and discuss difficult issues. What America needs to happen to start to fix some of what is broken. I didn't personally know Charlie Kirk, but from what I've seen he seemed to be genuinely concerned for America's future and wanted to help make a difference. Some asshat decided that couldn't happen. Sad days ahead I'm afraid guys. I hope I'm wrong for my kids sake, but I don't see America turning it around anytime in the near future. Rock bottom is always the first step, and unfortunately I don't think we are quite there yet. My thoughts and condolences to Charlies family and friends. RIP fellow American.

Fox news, news max, CNN, msnbc, etc are all trying to get clicks to increase income. They don't care that this guy's been shot, they'll throw out the craziest conspiracies to get views.

The FBI has been purged of lots of career leaders because the current administration didn't like them. Looking like a bunch of jackasses is the result of installing people who don't know what they're doing in those leadership roles. They"re probably under a lot of pressure to get results as well.

Take a peek at the 1960’s if you want to experience a truly turbulent era.  Sure, a few fundamentals may be similar to today , but without a draft, it doesn’t hold the interest of many young people.

Today’s divisiveness is fueled by a highly competitive social media environment where “likes” = $ and the more inflammatory, the better.  Let’s be honest:  if Charlie Kirk’s thoughtful, measured questions were answered in a thoughtful, measured way, we’re not talking about him today.  It’s the reaction to his questions, not the questions themselves, that drove people to his content. Charlie knew this and capitalized on it better than anyone.

It may be that he was considered much more of a threat to the left wing kingdom than many of the snorting, right wing buffoons. He was in the belly of the beast, one of their cherished sanctuaries, and probably changing minds. Open dialog is a huge threat to the left. Especially on a college campus.
