25 KX450 $5,000?

A dealer near me has about 8 2025 KX450 for as low as $4900..I'm sure freight and setup is on top of that but still, that is a crazy discount for a new 450. I got a new 300TC and I'm not really a 4 stroke guy( though I love the green) but I'm strugging to not buy one just because.

I’ll see you a 24 for 4k fc suspension Hinson clutch pc exhaust x trigs raptor pegs 😂

Both my 24 and 22 Kawasaki 450s blew up under 50hrs with better then routine maintenance I agree with Jorge there’s a reason they are $5k new..

I watched a YouTube video of Keefer and he said he knew someone that just bought one for 6k SHIPPED to his door. If your not using cycketrader and/or aren't willing to drive a few hours, your paying too much for a new bike.

Ya’ll probably give me the most down votes in history for this but have you seen Medium Boy on Buttery Films try and keep his KX’s together?  His 250 and 450 are constantly falling apart. The KX’s seem to be the worst in the reliability arena by many accounts.  If I was buying new bikes every 50hrs I might give it a thought. My 21’ gasgas has 150hrs, never needed valves adjusted, I put a recluse clutch in it at 100hrs because I thought the cover looked cool not because it needed one, had the suspension done once, and have only changed oil and filter every 10hrs per the manual.

Could be but I haven't heard of that as a common issue. My new Husq says to rebuild the top end every 20hrs. That doesn'  neccesarily scream quality either. That ain't happening. I know the KX clutch has issues and the bolts commonly strip.

I thought I'd just put it out there.

Gonna have to disagree with that sentiment.

Everything else being equal, there's no amount of maintenance that compensates for lower quality metallurgy or other materials (looking at you, Electrofusion cylinders), poor design, poor machining or welding, etc.

Seen too many failures/QC issues through the decades that weren't attributable to maintenance or wrenching skills.

There's a reason some manufacturers have their reliability reputations - they earned them. 😄

$1500 of what? Lol. I hate when dealers market items like this. Turns me off and I'll go buy it elsewhere.

I’ve gotten 100+ hours on a couple KX450’s, and I ride the shit out of those bikes.

Can I use 0% credit card, without paying 3% fee?

8/26/2025 11:53am Edited Date/Time 8/26/2025 11:53am

Dealers just put bullshit prices on cycle trader then give you the same price on the phone as they would if you never seen the ad in the first place lol usually add plus or minus 2 grand in fees and bullshit.

Best way to get a deal on a bike is to go there in person and say I have the money in my truck right now lets make a deal.

If your close enough to the dealer and you know they like to deal your right. But some dealers think they sit on gold. 26 models are out. If your sitting on a showroom of 25 models and there is no model changes except a blue decal, you need to be dumping bikes.

No offense to Medium or Buttery, but I have never seen anything that leads me to believe they maintain any of their bikes well.

Seriously!?!  Every episode they’re doing “bike work.”

This is sarcasm for those people on this forum that don’t don’t understand it.

Nothing worse than anecdotal evidence being used to shit on a brand while simultaneously plugging their favourite without any shame. The world would be a lot better if people didn’t try vindicating themselves on every purchase they made.

I doubt it. This is the south. Everything is cheaper here..if your out of state, I bet you won't pay sales tax either. I didnt.

Yea, its a RideNow dealership. They'll tell you one thing to get you in the door and then when they put the paperwork down in front of you, the price magically doubles.

BS fees are alive and well in the south. I'm looking to buy a new Kawi Jetski and have been calling every dealer in Florida, plus some in Georgia and Alabama that have the model I want. 99% of them add on fees. Some more than others, but almost all were too much.

Listing units at a super low price is an old trick just to get you to call. Ride Now is one of the worst. I called them yesterday just to see how bad they are. They had the model I want listed at $12,900, which I knew was way too low for a ski with a msrp of $18,200. When they gave me the otd price it was almost $21,000.

I did find an honest dealer 7 hours away in northern Alabama that had very low fees and gave me a great price. Basically you need to ignore the prices the put on Marketplace. They're not close to what you'll pay otd.
