Didn't realise how rare it is for a team to be represented all on the same brand.  Interesting.

I would expect Haakon osterhagen, Haakon Fredriksen and maybe Pelle Gunderson for Norway?

Østerhagen parted ways with his team last week, so not sure if he will line up.

Happens more than you would think. Finland was an all-KTM team last year, Portugal were all Yamaha's for the past two years, Venezuela all Husqvarna's,..

Two years ago Slovakia all KTM's, Greece all Yamaha's, Puerto Rico all Kawasaki's...

Switzerland were all Yamaha's in 2022, South Africa all KTM's, Ecuador all Kawasaki's, Honduras all KTM's...

Italy were all KTM's when they won it in 2021 (Cairoli, Guadagnini and Lupino).

Off course, those teams aren't 100% factory bikes.

They have the speed and talent to not just be competitive, but to win the thing. Sacha and Everts just have to keep it on two wheels.

Thanks mate.  Obviously my Google search was way off the mark.

Because their entry isn't confirmed. They started a crowdfunding (they need around 23,000 euro), if they don't get it together, they won't go. And I think the person who started the Wikipediapage just got his info from here anyway.

Herlings has now confirmed that. He's the reserve rider though.

I still can't get my brain wrapped around this?  Herlings was truly willing and the Dutch federation said no?  NLD has zero chance of winning without Herlings, and the dude has pretty much always showed up when he was healthy.  Makes me wonder if he really was not as interested this year given his injury challenges and the team change.  Maybe he said he did not really want to go, but would be willing to be the reserve rider and the Dutch Federation is running a little cover for him?  One way or another I hope he is there, the event is better with him in it.

So will Prado still ride for team Spain? On a  kawi? Will he try if he does go? 🤔

At this point there are 3 riders better than him. I don't think they should pick him. We saw last year that he doesn't care and will cruise around when not feeling well, even when riding for his country

This will be a USA vs Australia event. All the other possible contenders have their best riders out. Slightly bummed about that tbh, but we can hope for stand-out rides from other nations perhaps...?

Belgium still in it. Just need one good race from Sasha and avoiding incident at the same time there is some poor starts for USA. Tomac hasn't exactly shown he can start consistent lately.

Wouldn't count Netherlands out yet either. If Herlings continue to win and beat Vlanderen i would hope Vlanderen takes himself out of the team by himself.

On paper its USA or Aus, but just two so so starts and Belgium can be in it.

I think they should pick him if he can line up on a KTM/GasGas. Imagine the motivation he would have to prove everyone wrong and that he was right all along?

Tbh I don’t see Sasha staying on the bike, especially on a new track and with national pride on the line. I would love for it to happen - don’t get me wrong. But realistically this is USA’s race to lose on home turf.

He has won or been second in more than half the races so far, including qualifying races. Been top 3 in much more so not as bad as it looks even if it's bad so to say.

It's hard packed, so less sketchy I guess. So if you go by numbers, he should deliver one good race. One of the downsides is that he tries harder the faster it goes and 450 riders will outpace him so maybe that brings up the risk when he tries to keep up?

You think so? Sacha Vs Valin, Febvre vs Lucas, i guess Renaux should have Everts covered?

I think you downgrade his capacities a bit. He's currently 4th in the standings and most likely will end the season on that place. Sure, he made mistakes during the season. But so has Längenfelder, so has De Wolf, so has Adamo. Not even talking about the guys who are behind him in the standings (fifth placed Bénistant is more as 60 points down on him).

He just has a stigma on him which he can't get rid off, it seems. When De Wolf passed him for the lead in the 1st moto, he cooled it down a bit as he started to make mistakes trying to follow him. That's something the Sacha of 2023-2024 never would've done.

Belgium in the top 5 should be the goal. A podium would be great. Everything more is a bonus. We're obviously not the favorites, but that doesn't have to. Let us work out of the spotlights, most of the times that's when we are at our best.

With Pradogate going on, I think it's very doubtful he will be part of the Spanish team. Fernández and Farrés are shoe-ins in my opinion, maybe Oliver on the Open bike is the best option as their third rider. If they send a team at all.
