I wish they’d throw Tickle on Ando’s bike for the last couple rounds.

So if he’s incapable of adapting to a bike that is leading the world championship, how is that not his fault?

MXGP test all winter, chop up frames, can do so much more to get the feel a rider wants.

Prado is only used to steel chassis, so when the bikes not doing what he expects he’s chilling out a bit.

Sure not all riders would do the same, but not all riders would win MXGP championships.

I seriously think you guys lack patience, I expect if he can’t figure the bike out then he’ll go back to steel at some point soon & draw a line under it.

Is it worth him getting injured on this bike trying to get a podium if he’s not sure what the bikes doing ?

I personally don’t believe that a rider of Prado’s caliber would need to risk injury to stay inside the top 10.  He needs to do what they’re paying him to do and produce the best results he’s capable of.

It is odd he can be comfortable inside top ten one wk end & not the next. But the tracks are all different & I expect they have taken some swings at set up hoping to land on something decent.

Remember also MXGP riders are used to see much more testing, he’s spent a career prob backing off searching during the long euro winters.  Now he’s got to figure it out on the job & aim for podium speed while he’s at it.

Oh & learn Sx aswell

I don't get it he seemed to ride hard both motos last weekend, got improved results, seemed happy after the race and said he's ready to chase podiums the last two races. Then he goes out nails the start and goes right back to his terrified head on a swivel alter ago this week. I haven't watched any post race stuff, what's the problem now?

If he is lucky to get an offer from another team, better take it give it best shot whatever the outcome. Otherwise, his american dream will be very short..

From my observation, he has no sprint speed race craft. He had the speed initially, but he was terrible when it came to putting it together at speed. Braking late, over shooting lines, not being able to get in and out of the race line. He was all over the place the first lap trying to race at that pace. At least that what I thought I saw. And I am sure he just burnt out instantly trying to go that fast in the beginning with some of the best guys to do it. I don't think going to another team will help that. He needs help in other areas first.

6th in points 😎

Do you see how far back 6th place is every moto? No where near being competitive for wins and world class.

During the broadcast James mentioned how different Unadilla is from Ironman; the former is very high speed and the latter is tight. So if he’s not trusting the bike on a high speed course, his results are understandable.

As for the improved starts, that’s a good sign, but short sprints are not the issue, apparently.

man, they slaughter him on the latest Pulp show with JT/Weege.

"He's not coming back from this."
"Totally unprecedented"
"I've never seen anything like it"
"He's a quitter and I don't see how he shakes this off"
"Worst I think I've ever seen"

DV also had a go at him in the DV talks moto with Musquin and Manzato on his youtube channel. Hard truth must be spoken some times I guess

I recently saw the video of Herlings a month or so ago defending Prado. He said that Jorge is a big talent on par with anyone. I wonder if he still thinks so? Prado is either purposely mailing it in at this point or he has been exposed or the competition here is on another level. You tell me.

Would love to hear Chad Reed's unfiltered honest take as he's worked with Jorge a little bit.

For the record, I don't enjoy this situation.  I really want Prado and Team Kawasaki to reach good results.

We know Chase struggled going from an aluminum frame to steel but he still had speed and results when he stayed off the ground. Is the difference mental or is Chase just the warrior Fraudo isn't?

Sprint speed has always been his strong suit. He gets the holeshot and then puts up a ferocious speed in the first few laps and manages the gap from there, that’s how the vast majority of his wins have come. The issue is that he has lost all confidence and resemblance to who he actually is

This just reinforces the fact that he should be doing so much better than he currently is. He should be about 10th place on his worst days. There has to be some ulterior motive, like he needs to suck so bad that Kawi has no choice but to let him go and not enforce his buyout.

Prado 2024, wins 2nd MXGP championship and wants to come to the US and race SX/MX

Don't worry, US fans and Kawi racing team understand it will take time to learn a new bike and tracks. Plus those Lawrence Bros, Eli, Chase are pretty good. Everyone will be patient with you.

Ahhhh no sir.  No, no.

When you have no tact, taking very little in personal responsibility, putting it all on the team while saying I'd be winning its all the bike....  that's when you get lit up.  Again,  he said he'd be winning.

I see a divorce with Kawi in the very near future.

Maybe in MXGP that was the case. But when he is trying to run Jett, Eli, Hunter sprint speed pace, on tracks he is not accustomed to, that is something he is not use to and it shows during the races he has gotten good starts and attempted it. Its also out there that he practices at 70% during the week. If that is the case, he needs more refinements than just the bike.

A guy with his talent and credentials should never be outside the top 10 outdoors no matter what bike or team he is on.  If he was finishing in the top 10 every moto, we’d all cut him some slack.  He’s a world champion on a factory bike getting beat by guys who sleep in their vans.

Exactly, that and his for shit attitude, sense of entitlement, and lack of responsibility. Absolutely no gratitude for his team's efforts or his employer's. All riding aside he makes Europeans look bad by his behavior. Just like a petulant child.

All enjoyed bashing Prado? Let me ask you a question: What are "the big" results from Jason Anderson on that green bike and where is he now? Sometimes a team works hard but doesn't get any results because of politics, ego, ... examples: Kawasaki 450 in the USA, Yamaha 450 in Europe. Both bikes are competitive if you look over the pond.

You could ask yourself what results Kawasaki has got since signing Davi Millsaps and Will Hahn...

Big results from Anderson:

10 outdoor podiums and 2 outdoor wins on the Kawi. That's relatively big, especially comparative to what we are seeing.
