My answers to all your questions are the obvious ones. I’m no hermit. I’m no saint. I do try, but I am not even close. I grow a garden and I buy 95% of my food (meat and veggies) from local organic farmers. I’m not in debt but I also still rent. Medicine, I’m not on any and not dis-eased. At least not yet lol.
I’m not preaching against technology or modernity. These things you mention haven’t been created by these hierarchical institutions that I’ve bashed. Technology and advancements have been made by individuals just like you and I. Not because of, but rather in spite of these horrible institutions.
I would argue that we have been and are currently being held back in technological advancements because of these corrupt institutions. Why? Because this corporate/state capitalism is the antithesis of sustainability.
You bring up medicine. The vast majority of illnesses and diseases today are a direct result of our modern diets and lifestyles which are determined by our environment which is dictated by our current system.
We can not (even as individuals) live in balance with nature and the earth until these corrupt hierarchical institutions which have monopolized our earth, commodified our resources and privatized our land are made no more. We can and are able to invalidate and remove their power from existence with just a simple change of perception. No need for destruction or death.
