Ironman is getting pretty bad with bums from Crawfordsville coming in to steal shit. Hoosier GNCC and Ironman GNCC last year had alot of problems with quad, bikes, and ebike thefts.

What is BarX?  Is it a product or just the name of the Yamaha shop?

It was a combo of the original two team owners' names and companies.

Bar was for Barberie and X for 2X Promotions (Myron Short)

Where did this happen?  That would be useful info to help find the stuff.

Tracks are becoming shopping centers for thieves. There’s been a huge problem in New England in the last few years of thieves showing up to races and open practices to scope out bikes they want. They put an air tag on the truck/trailer to track them to where the bikes are stored to steal later. Almost happened to a friend of mine last year but luckily his iPhone alerted him on the ride home and he was able to find it.

That sucks.  What’s good sting operation that would be. Let them AirTag an unsuspecting truck or van parked at the track where it would be easy to go unnoticed.  Then after the races park it out behind restaurant or motel.  Then when they move in for the steal, (insert your action: arrest them, less than lethal shotgun them, tar and feather, maybe lock them in a room with Barry Manilow blasting on the stereo.)

I’m pretty sure the Barry Manilow might fall under cruel and unusual punishment…😂

Stealing engines seems like it would be someone who knows what they're looking for. Otherwise I'd think there would be plenty of other things in that trailer that would be more appealing to people who don't know.

Whoever ends up with them are definitely going to blow those race motors up. Running them on straight pump. A wheelie boy just got a race spec engine lol but seriously that’s sucks, but who’s leaving the rigs unattended. Hire someone to sleep in the back trailer with a gun.

Mild compared to what I would propose as punishment.

They are privateer motors, not to take anything away from this situation but theyre not worth anything near 40K.

New, not including the cost of the stock engine used to build it, I’d say their package is something like 12-15k. Add stock engine cost, getting closer to 20.

It doesn’t matter what sporting event it is, motocross, car racing, even Bass Fishing tournaments.  These sorry lowlife thieves target sporting events.  They follow them around, it’s what they do.  Thieves love to hit professional bass tournaments.  High dollar electronics sell like hot cakes on eBay.

In some cases these thieves are syndicated from South American countries.

Montgomery County that Ironman is in, had more Meth lab busts than any other county in Indiana several years ago.

I know Chuck didn’t steal the engines because they don’t burn premix!

Was the truck parked in the pit area, or at a Motel or Truck Stop when they were taken?

Gota win Loretta's some how! But seriously criminals aren't exactly intelligent to begin with, they just grab stuff that catches the eye and run.

Wheelie Boys don't give a shit about race motors. This was someone who knew what they were looking for and they knew where it was.

Or it could’ve been some tweakers who saw a ballin ass semi parked in a shitty motel in Indiana and decided to break in it and can literally carry off a couple motors into the back seat of a car.
