Sincerely, my favorite riders "attitude wise" out on the track these days are Trey Canard, Pourcel, and Dungey; but if I were a professional motocross racer, I think I would decide to spice things up a little bit. Since so many fans are such total assholes to the professionals of this sport, on message boards, and even in real life - I would just be a total asshole back for the hell of it.
If fans ever showed up to my autograph lines, I'd just insult them repeatedly until they walked off. If I ever won a supercross race, I would stop atop the launch of a triple on my victory lap, wipe my ass with my goggles, then throw them into the crowed to some lucky lad. And If I somehow ever won an outdoor national, I would just clock some guy in the head with a campaign bottle after my interview with Erin Bates.
I wouldn't behave like this because it's the ethical thing to do; I would because it's the way the fans treat the riders (at least metaphorically).

All these pro's are going into interviews like "blah blah blah" stereotypical replies.. Barcia and Wilson are two funny pro's that I wish I can grow up to be someday. Then once in the 450s be like Canard or Dungey.

Even on the weekdays I'd way up and do my job for the day. Once my jobs over hell with it. I wanna get shit faced I will. I wanna spray paint penises all over the road. Ill do it. I wanna take a dip ill do it.
I think its why I liked Jlaw so much. Shame he just let himself go so far. I guess I wouldn't be afraid of the backlash id get from fans.
Bottom line is that everyone here (who wasn't) wishes they were a factory pro. Other than that, we are just talking shit and having fun.

I've heard that tons of guys (old school) like to point at Hannah as the last top dog to show his true colors without self destruction. Even Lawrence bites his tongue, now.
I've raced enough, and I've taken it seriously enough to know that all racers have egos! It is a "me" sport. That didn't stop me from being a nobody in the grand scheme of things, though. Turns out that I wasn't really that good or fast as I thought I was. All of the riders have an ego, and the difference only comes in what they say publicly about it.
With that said, there are plenty of riders that are good and that are fast and deserve to make a living at what they do. These riders not only impress me with the way they ride, but with the way that they conduct themselves as professionals.
Every now and then, there is a situation that unfolds that makes us look back at our own experiences (whether we were novices or pros,) that really makes us take sides based on the riders involved and how we would have handled things if we would have filled those shoes.
To say that you would do it for the hell of it, I (kind of) disagree. I think that there would be a real reason to lash out for the reasons above. You have to have self confidence and believe in what you are capable of. The fact that the professional riders can do this so effectively, at such a young age never ceases to amaze me.
I have family members that used to wad it up in my front yard, and now they are faster and better than I ever was when I raced. Sometimes you have to suck it up and accept things for what they are.
It would be a tough thing to do when you are at the top level of motocross and every asshole with a keyboard rates your every move.
I certainly know what you mean though. Some of the comments I read about certain riders just blow my mind, but a majority of the fans are good people. It's just unfortunate that ignorant people are too dumb to realize how trashy it makes themselves look when they say some of the things they say, so they seem to be much more vocal about it. At the professional level though, you gotta ride for your fans. Let the good people have an impact on you. No reason to let a bunch of haters have so much of an effect on your life that they change your attitude and the way you act.
