RocketLab Started a new thread Texas's Real Death Penalty

What a world we live in. 2013 and people still die in Texas at the rate of 9000 per year from lack of medical coverage. The article is too long to paste the whole thing so I'll provide a link from the Texas Observer. Texas Observer Article The first patient who called me “doctor” died a few winters ago. I...

RocketLab Started a new thread Church is Kicking Out Boyscouts

My son's Boy Scout troop leaders just announced the church they have been affiliated with for something like 10 years is no longer willing to sponsor them. I've yet to get their exact stated reasoning its a diversion but we know what its all about. How can a house of God punish good aspiring boys over what we know this...

I'm going to take Rossi's side on this. He's got one year left on his contract and its now or never as far as shaking things up to make something work. Yeh, it may be that Rossi's lost a step but he has to try something to reinvigorate himself.

Never understood the vitriol directed at the poor in such overwhelming proportions while corporations , wealthy people, farmers, etc. seem to be condoned for their actions. $92 billion in taxes not received by the US due to rules allowing off shore parking of money but hardly a peep about that. Jobs are scarce due to the actions of banks and...

It's a Church of Christ. While I'm not religious and not a young father (3 grandkids as well) I am extremely impressed with the Boy Scouts and everything they do to prepare a young boy/man for life. Obviously they are religious based as well which is fine with me. Having said that I find it extremely frustrating that a church...

I remember when those Samurais were selling like hotcakes. My then wife's cousin actually started an Samurai accessory company and was selling his products through dealers until whoever it was killed the Suzuki with it's roll over story. I also had a 73 CJ-5. 304 AMC V-8, 3 speed on the floor, a steering wheel as big as a bus...

I haven't driven one with the old 3.8 so I thought the 3.6 was ok when we got it, nothing special. However with about 4k miles on it is really starting to perform liked I hoped initially. Gas mileage? It's a brick pushing through the air but stay under 70 and it can average over 21 on flat land. Better...

" I care about a workable healthcare plan that benefits the nation as a whole which is administrated by honest, competent people. The ACA seems to be non of those things." So based on your wants it sounds like Medicare for all fits your bill.

Representation is a farce. Through gerrymandering, voter suppression, lying, Citizens United and voter ignorance true representation no longer exists. The fact that 25 percent of all Texans are not insured speaks more to the truth than assuming that the majority of Texans do not want health care coverage. Look at all the Republican governors who were adamantly opposed to ACA...

The accusation that he lied can be culled down to semantics. Maybe lied, maybe misled, it's not important. What is important is that those whose policies are cancelled had insurance that isn't worth a damn. And those that were on the news complaining about it when pressed admitted that their policy wasn't good. And most of those that are getting...

State by state doesn't work and leaves their uninsured at the mercy of totally political decisions by their Republican governors. The governor of my state, you may have heard of the intellectual Rick Perry, has nixed tens of billions in Medicare funds due to his political stance. Might offend the base for his presidential run. He has not offered up...
