Naw it's the S model. As basic as it gets Smile Needed a cheaper car payment while in college but now I'm looking to get a small truck.

Just a quick question for you guys. I'm (slowly) working on a yz250 rebuild. The bike was used for woods riding by the previous owner and the swing arm has a few nice deep scratches in it that are less than pretty. I'm going to get it PC'ed but I'd like to get it cleaned up a bit. My question...

Haven't spent enough time on all to really say what I value most. I get used to a bike and then hop on another and then certain qualities just shine and seem like the best thing that's ever been thought of. Then I get used to that, hop on my old bike and fall in love with those characteristics all...

Ah, good stuff, thanks guys. I think I'll just knock out some of the high spots and try JB weld as a filler. Another question, do y'all think a gunmetal gray for the swingarm, linkage, and triple clamps would look good? I'd like to do something kind of subtle, the frame will remain unpainted, but I don't really want to...

Another thing I was just thinking about, sometimes when I ride (moto or mtb) a lot by myself I have a tendency to fall into bad habits. Certain body positions get comfortable and I think less about doing things the best way. Granted as you get faster more and more becomes second nature and you don't have to think about...

I have to somewhat agree. I can't say with certainty which is better because I can only compare a steel framed 125 to an aluminum framed 250, so the power affects the handling but ergonomically I preferred the 125. Again, different bikes but just my view point. I do have to disagree with Nystrom though. While running the stock exhaust...

Did you have any valving done to the suspension? It seems like your nervousness and apprehension is probably affecting that throttle hand and perhaps you're not staying on the gas all the way through. I'm assuming you ride a 450? What kind of terrain/dirt composition are you riding? I ask because you may have to ride the throttle more aggressively...

Hey guys, I help run a South Texas motocross track called Cycle Ranch. Recently we got a letter in the mail from a kid in Missouri who's favorite rider is Kyle Cunningham. While Kyle is a Texas native, he isn't really local to us in San Antonio and we've been having a little trouble getting in touch with him. I...

Ya I've been a fan ever since I used to watch him ripping on an 85 back in the day and I feel confident he'd appreciate this letter and would hook the kid up with an autograph or something. Unfortunately I don't think I'll be able to make it to the Dallas SX (first one to miss since 2002). We...

This same crap talking and disrespect is seen by track owners and operators as well. Online bashing because the tracks aren't prepped enough or too much, purposely damaging property because they get mad about track conditions, cussing at staff because we catch them sneaking in people and make them pay or get banned, yelling at us because we charge $25...

Bummer to hear man. I ran into a similar deal where the grease and grime uncovered more and more issues. Like Ace, I plan on keeping this bike a long time, so replacing a side case and cylinder is in my future. Definitely a bummer because it's going to be a little more money and time than anticipated. My $1,000...

So I just picked up this 250 but she is a little rough around the edges... Like every edge for the most part. I have some work to do to get her back in shape, and if you guys don't mind, I'll be sharing some pics on here along the way! Haven't had a new project in like 4 years...

I removed a stripped drain bolt with a left hand threaded tap. It was a pain, I clamped it with some vice grips, pushed on that drill as hard as I could, and had to go really slow while turning on the vice grips at the same time. It worked but I'd rather not do that again, that's for sure.

Haha, that's a little much. A stripped drain bolt certainly isn't worth getting into a rage about either. I plan on keeping this bike until it's vintage so it's whatever. I'll buy and sell others, really leaning towards KTM, but I'm a YZ man at heart and want to eventually build this into the custom bike I've always wanted. It's...

Anyone have any idea how that happens? I was talking about it with one of the guys I work with, and our guess is the previous owner tried to take the motor out before and maybe took a pry bar to it, or he just dropped the cylinder when doing a top end. Can't see that happening in a regular...

Cycle Ranch MX has been a little busy lately so this project has gone nowhere so far. After doing a little more cleaning I uncovered a huge crack, so I'll be replacing the cylinder in addition to the left side engine case. No telling what the inside of this motor looks like. It's funny because the bike I bought before...

MP818 - Just curious where you're located. Im the Venue Director at Cycle Ranch and we were just discussing rebuilding our pro license only SX track. Last year we had a replica of the Dallas SX. If you're looking for training opportunities, give me a holler. We're outside of San Antonio, have showers, cabins, RV hookups, cafe, full stocked shop...
