They do race 2 and 4 strokes together don't they? So if its similar to that , why not run the electric and ICE together ?
Maybe not in the 250 class keep that a restricted ICE class, but for sure in the 450 class. If the riders are the best of the best, and electric has the chance to allow one of them to perform at a higher level , I want to see it happen. If for some reason they are just day and night better , then make a seperate class if its that big of an advantage. I really don't think it will be as big of an advantage for the top level guys as it would be for the average rider. But I would like to see how they compare. Have a true open class in WSX , allow 250 2 strokes, electric, and full on works bikes if somebody is willing to build one for the series.
Just like 2 and 4 strokes the electric will have areas it excels and areas it is worse. They set a precedent by allowing 2 strokes and 4 strokes to race together. I'm not sure if it was an april fools joke or real, but I remember seeing Yamaha wanting a rule allowing a displacement advantage for a diesel powered MX bike. If that was true, how would You feel about a diesel in the 450 class?
WSX may not have the fastest of the fastest racers. But they could have the coolest bikes and have that be a part of the way to pull fans in. Market it as the F1 of Supercross .
How about calling it a Proto class and allowing whatever new stuff that a manufacturer wants to try. With open power outputs and only rules for safety.
I do hope that there is a full team from Stark . If Vince has to be one of the riders to make it happen, fine.If he is a great test rider, he has ridden some great bikes and might be able to help them setup the Varg for SX. I don't know him personally, but he just seems like he is not really the type of person I would want promoting my brand. Going off the stories of interactions with other racers. Vince is just not the guy I would have pictured being one of Starks factory guys.

You have to admit that he has earned that reputation though. It's not like its only been a handful of examples over his entire career.
I will give him credit that he was riding pretty good , starting up front. And had some good finishes. He has earned the reputation he has and his actions are why people feel the way they do about him.
As a fan I could see some sort of neutrality , but any racer thats on the track with him has said they dred when they are near him. And riding like that is not good for long battles and keeping racers healthy. I guess his blocking extends the battles. But the takeouts are just petty most of the time. Most of the other racers with a rep of aggressive passing are doing it while working their way towards the front. I guess I just have a bigger problem with passes like that when he's working his way backwards after a good start.
Yea my guess is not much. Maybe he stays out front a little longer as you theorized. He actually could be a title favorite now that I think about it. Who’s racing the whole series that will beat him consistently? Kenny and Eli are only doing select rounds.
Where did you see that Kenny was only doing select rounds? Has he not done the entire series since the series started?

Why doesn't WSX have an event where it's just Vince on the track without a bike. Then all the other riders come out - also without bikes - and hunt him down and beat the shit out of him. Then I may actually watch WSX again.

How did the stark vs ice bikes go in arena cross, ? I saw a few videos early and the ice bikes seemed to have an advantage , especially in the whoops

Indeed whoops are a weakness of electrics (or at least the Varg).
For results, depends which Arenacross series you're talking about! Starks have been racing 2 AX series in 2025.
In AMA AX, I think electrics won only once or twice the "Dash for cash" race against ICE. Though it was interesting to see Hicks turning mostly similar laptimes on his YZ450F and his Varg, Vargs were clearly not flying.
OTOH, in AX UK (more specifically the 3 "Arenacross world tour" rounds where international riders were allowed), Jorge Zaragoza (Stark) won round 1 in Birmingham in front of Soubeyras and Dean Wilson, Deano won round 2 (Hicks was 2nd on the Varg) in Manchester and Hicks won round 3 in Abu Dhabi (Zaragoza 3rd). So Stark riders won 2 out of 3 international rounds against the likes of Wilson, Soubeyras, Escoffier... while Wilson won all British-only rounds.
Outdoors, Herbreteau ended up 6th in France Elite MX 2025 championship (25 min + 2 laps).
What makes them bad in the whoops?
Electric has less inertia (rotational mass) than ICE, so the rear wheel slows down every time it hits a whoop.
