New engine cases, crank. Pistons and electronics amongst other stuff.
Variable cam timing also, always wondered if it would work for mx.
2026 RMZ450 comes with VTEC, stamp it
Suzuki actually has a few new models in the street segment. They're not dead yet.
They just leveled up their DRZ line too. I think in the next couple of years we see E start 450 and a new DZ650
😄

Hearing they will have a revised 450 engine in the motocross versions and electric start in 2026
I love how it turns into an absolute mess when it generates the engine cases, lol
Put a button and a 6 speed on those rmzs and watch what happens.
Beauty GSXR (and van as well) 😄

Thanks, did a 300 mile ride yesterday in the Adirondacks of NY…24k mikes and still runs perfect..
Nice gixxer, that bike marked a before and after in supersports ✌️
Dead?
They exhibited 10% growth in global motorcycle sales revenue for FY2024, while many other manufacturers were seeing a moderate contraction.
It is their largest growth division, and they are paying a 3% dividend on their stock.
We are just super isolated here in the MX community.
Amazing subtitles.
😂
Ive asked this question on here a bunch of times, but like now in 2025 most of the low hanging fruit sportbike tech has been transferred over. Finger followers on dohc, roller rockers on the sohc 450’s, downdraft intake, centerport exhaust, fuel injection….etc. Theres not a ton more out there they can do right now unless its very expensive or technically complex. Ducati added something new with desmo, and yamaha does the ram air intake which is sport bike tech too, but theres not a ton left.
-Theres variable timing intake, exhaust, or both.
-Direct injection.
-Forced induction (not happening nor should).
-Electric motor assist for low end (hybrid) massive weight penalty on a motorcycle.
-Using the engine as the structural element of the frame to save a ton of weight. (Probably wouldnt transfer to the stresses of jumping).
-Carbon fibre frames. (SOO expensive).
-Steel truss frame, (no need).
-Variable intake funnel that changes with throttle position (viable, but makes it more complex).
-Electric water pump (probably coming soon-ish).
-Air shock (ktm has been working on this for years, the fact that the general public doesnt even want air forks which are great now means prob DOA).
-Electronic/magnetic suspension (way too complex/expensive)
…..Thats about all I can think of.
It’s crazy, but as simple as 2-strokes are to make, it wouldn’t be hard for OEMs to make them and sell boatloads. But, we know…
My wrists and knees start aching every time you post a pic of that thing. 😄
I don't miss riding all folded up like a jack knife but I do miss the sound of my '86 VFR750F with those F1R slip-ons ~ lordy, that was a glorious exhaust note. 👍
Pit Row
Yep…time to buy a dual sport
Why did you start this thread again? Serious question
Good news, considering wsbk is considered getting rid of superbikes and using supersport as the premier class. I hope we get to keep superbikes at the top level, some life left in them yet.
I keep waiting for Suzuki to go out of business, like everybody has been saying for years. They haven't made a single change to their motocross bike in 300 years, and since MX is the only thing that matters to any company anywhere, clearly Suzuki has to collapse, right?
As a manufacturer, historically Suzuki has neen very good at moving lots of product without shortchanging their dealer network, but the motorcycle division is entirely separate from the auto division which ranks amongst the largest in the world, so they're not like Honda.
Amazing. It's so good to see bikes like that in such great shape and still being used.
I'm so over Ai.
I live on the MA coast and am planning a ride out that way. Any must do roads?
We know it’ll never happen, but how cool would it be to see Roczen sporting some updated plastic and a Zook in the gps with a new frame and updated look? 👍
You can do a big loop of great roads, some mountains, several lakes & small towns to stop at…Rt 9 runs parallel to 87 or the Adirondack Northway as we call it. Pick up Rt 74 off the Northway, continue on to Saranac Lake Rt 28 to Tupper lake, then to Rt 30 to Indian Lake & into Speculator and down to Sacandaga lake…can pick up NYS thruway close by…it’s beautiful up in the Adirondack park….lakes, winding roads, good elevation, small towns for lunch….Saratoga Springs and Lake George are also on your route, great places to stop at and check out, big nite life in both towns…
Vitards waiting on the All New RMZ Line Up! (and 2 strokes).
You might have just convinced me to make an investment. They are poised to do well when they decide to make a new model.
