Well I went and listened to the Whiskey Throttle show and I wish I could get that hour of my life back. It’s quite ironic listening to them say guys like Lewis have never done it, so they sit around and take a tiny bit of truth and speculate meanwhile speculating on everything with Anderson, Lawrence family, Prado etc. Listening to them try to make sense of tariffs and trade deals made me realize these guys don’t read anything but headlines. Never again.

You are absolutely spot on there. It's brutal when you hear some of the people involved in the sport discuss any topic outside it. Their lack of education, let alone general knowledge, is painfully inadequate. I think it's a big problem, but constantly apparent, that people who know very little, always think they know a lot due to the fact they simply don't know very much. The people who know the most, and are experts in any field, always are the ones that will admit to how little they know. They know how vast the knowledge base is. Unlike a turd like Ping, who I've seen wade in on a whole bunch of medical related topics, just because he has some kind of certificate in first responding from his fire fighter job. I would venture to say his knowledge of politics in any sophisticated sense is non-existence also. As for GL, all he knows is where to get the cheapest and strongest liquor. And even then his wet brain struggles to figure it out.

Youre 100% right.

The Dunning-Kruger effect is a cognitive bias where people with low ability in a specific area tend to overestimate their competence and knowledge in that area.”

People who dont know a lot about something but know enough to get by think they know a lot more than they do, because they dont know how much they dont know. People who are experts in a field tend to underestimate how much they know about something because they know how much that they still dont know. When you see the moto guys trying to talk politics they think that because theyre an expert in one field that means their opinion on other things matters too. It becomes pretty apparent though after a few seconds that they have no idea wtf theyre talking about.

I said it was ridiculous because unless you are employed there and personally know what everyone does you're not qualified to state that opinion. He may or may not be there daily but the strategic vision of an organization is just as important as the day to day.

The most ridiculous thing is me participating in this drama.

This is ridiculous....It wasn't an opinion it is fact that GL his dad and uncle own the dealership, His dad and uncle run the business day to day....I made no statements and no opinions about anything other than that fact....I made zero statements or even speculated about the chain of command or who makes or doesn't make decisions...just the simple statement that GL's dad and uncle run the day to day business.....period....

You win.

You also do not need to be an expert when commenting on common sense issues. Common sense is clearly not common anymore and many people struggle with that. This board struggles with this often.

Gotta hand it to Lewis for reaching out to Pingree, whom he had never spoken with.

Sounds like David doubled down on his stance. Oh well.

What's the difference between a conspiracy and the truth? About 6 months.

After reading all through this I’m surprised that nobody has gave the comeback to Ping/ GL that if they say Lewis shouldn’t be a moto media  as he never rode.  But how can they be ‘media’ people if they’ve never had any media training???

They are acting like a bunch of clowns IMO.

Ping and Langston were both good guests on the Pulp MX show.  It's too bad that (apparently?) differences in political opinion was enough to sour that relationship.

I don't get that from Matthes at all.  He gives his opinion on things happening in the sport.  Sometimes those may be negative of things riders have done.  But generally I don't recall him ever "starting shit" with anybody.

I’m assuming once they realized it was just the mods plus J Sloan posting there, they shut it down.

Man, the drama is a shame. I'm a big fan of Pulp, Lewis, and early Whiskey Throttle.

I listened to the Prado interview, and honestly, I didn’t think it was bad at all—and I’m a big Prado fan. The guy is underperforming by all standards, and I didn’t hear a single question that came off as aggressive or out of line. If I were delivering results like that at work, I’m pretty sure my performance review would be way harsher—and I’m not even in the public eye.

It’s crazy how GL and Ping are so damn soft while calling everyone else snowflakes.
